Wow! What a phone. I cannot put it down. The clarity, crispness, brightness, color of the screen are just wonderful! I cannot say enough about this screen, you just have to see it to believe how crisp and clear everything is! I love the interface, they have scaled back touch wiz so it isn't so overpowering but the items you like are still there. You can also disable apps or uninstall some of those that come with it if you do not want them. THe design is just gorgeous. I love the pearl white color instead of flat white, the speaker placement on the bottom is MUCH better for sound. It is very very thin and battery life so far has been great and believe me I have been on the phone allot!
The camera is again, insane! You cannot believe how great these photos are especially in low light for a cell phone! The Samsung smart switch app made everything so easy going from my old phone to this one--it put everything in its place just perfectly. I haven't made much use of the edge yet, but I love just how the screen almost wraps to the edges of the display. It is also very fast--it just flies. I have Verizon and this phone just runs through everything you throw at it! Samsung you did a beautiful job with this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, beautiful design, fast!

Really like this new edge! Easy to use, great features and design. However the "GORILLA GLASS" is not as strong as samsung advertises. I dropped mine, or it fell off my lap about a two foot drop and cracked the left edge. Its not very noticeable fortunatley but it is there. My case came a day too late...I did get the saphire black and it is actually more of a very dark blue.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: weak glass/screen
I would recommend this to a friend!

I literally have had all Samsung S phones and Notes from Day one. They get better and better each phone. I like the automatic driving mode..shows that they care for our safety. The wireless charging, prevents your phones and cords from getting damaged. I have once messed up my phone before by pulling on the cord to take it out from charging and somehow it got stuck.
Very light weight phone and the look is a conversational piece. The design is AWSOME. The picture quality is unbelievable. The colors are bright and beautiful almost 3D looking. So Vivid.
Charge is not bad. I haven't yet watched a whole movie yet or anything but basic use of the phone was good throughout the day.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, driving mode auto safety feature, wireless charging
Cons: very expensive
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Has Really Stepped Up Their Game!

I've been a long-time user of Samsung phones, going all the way back to the first Galaxy S phone. In that time, I've owned the Galaxy S1, Droid Charge, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, and now the Galaxy S6 Edge. I was really debating this last time around about switching the the Nexus 6 or the iPhone 6, I just wasn't sure about Samsung's dedication to producing quality phones and listening to the consumers. I wanted to wait until I saw the S6 announcement and reviews before making a final decision, and I am glad I waited. It's like a completely new line of phones.
The build quality is stunning. The use of real metal frames instead of the plastic faux metal that dented whenever anything touched it was a welcome improvement - plus, it just looks better. Then the back of the phone - using Gorilla Glass 4 (on the front as well) instead of just flimsy plastic door just makes the phone look sophisticated and polished. They really took their time and thought this design through. There is some merit to the argument that removable batteries and SD cards made the plastic worth it. And while I did enjoy the ability to swap out a battery or use a memory card, I'm not going to miss it. I do feel that the one area that could have been improved upon is a larger capacity battery. I am still testing it to see how long the battery will last with average use, and while the quick charge technology is great (I can charge my phone from from 10% to 30% in just a few minutes, I still would have liked to see a bigger battery that could last the entire day and into the night instead of potential needing to 'top off' my battery throughout the day. That really is my only gripe at this point.
I wasn't sure about the S6 Edge or the regular S6, and waited until my local Best Buy had them in stock at the Samsung Experience kiosk to decide which I preferred. Both have the same stunning display in terms of resolution, clarity, and color output, Even though they both have the same screen type, they look very different next to each other. The edge, with it's curved screen really catches your eye. While I went with the edge, I would recommend everyone try both of them side-by-side to decide which is best for you, they feel completely different in hand.
I opted for the 128GB version. This was a careful decision I made based on my storage needs and regular availability of WiFi and I recommended everyone else to do the same. For many people, 32 or 64GB is more than enough. I have a large number of files I need ready at any given time. The 128GB version was a decision I made with my current usage and long-term needs in mind. Not everyone needs that much space, but I am grateful I had the option. In the past my carrier (Verizon) only every sold the models of the previous phones with the lowest amount of storage, arguing that I could add an SD card or use cloud storage. With the inability to add an SD card, carriers were forced to start offering all the model sizes, which I appreciate.
Another very welcome improvement is the camera. On my S5, the lack of OIS (optical image stabilization) caused a lot of my pictures to come out blurry no matter how hard I tried to hold it still. On the S6, Samsung completely revamped the camera. New software combined with the optical image stabilization and 16MP camera has made a drastic change in picture quality. I can now access the camera quickly, and shoot beautiful clear pictures any time of day.
The fingerprint reader is fantastic with the ability to unlock the phone with one touch. It is very accurate, quick, and simple. The reader on the S5 good, but the swipe method was hard to do one handed, and often took a few tries. The S6 single touch sensor takes all of those issues and throws them out the window.
They are also making great improvements to the Touchwiz UI. Samsung is starting to work toward a streamlined, focused UI that makes the OS on the phone seem well thought-out, functional, and easy to use. This is another welcome change from the old OS's which, well-meaning as they were, just felt like there was no big picture in place, just a lot of bells and whistles, duplicate apps that do the same thing, and no focus. While consumers love phones with new capabilities, they need to be intentional, focusing on simplifying our lives and experiences, instead of overloading us. Gone is the clutter as Samsung is starting to understand the users needs. I like the ability to choose the features I want from the Galaxy Apps store instead of having them all installed by default. They are also integrating it with Google's OS to make it feel like they were meant to go together - which they are.
Overall, the Galaxy S6 is the phone I've been waiting for. Samsung has done a wonderful job - listening to the our needs, creating a beautiful phone inside and out. This is absolutely worth upgrading to, from any previous Samsung phone - or any other phone for that matter. If this is the direction that Samsung is heading, I'm on board and excited to see what they come up with next!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fantastic build quality
Cons: daily battery life could be an issue

Screen Does Not Rotate
on April 20, 2015
Posted by: Saddlebum
Had my new S6 Edge for less than a week and the screen quit rotating. Samsung does not acknowledge there is a problem but it is everywhere that people are having this same issue and there is no upgrade or fix at this time. Come on Samsung let's get a fix on this, phone would be awesome if it wasn't for that!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: screen rotation issue
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing...but always changing some features we use the most!

The over all phone is amazing, sound of calls is outstanding, music sounds great, design and screen quality are superb.
So now to the point... besides the obvious amazing features, I just don't get why some are changed and they can get pretty annoying:
1) Alarm changed! however this may be a lollipop feature but you can no longer decide how many or how long your snooze can be, why is that Samsung's decision???
2)Also in the alarm: the snooze it's this tiny black button like...hard to see when your eyes just opened and you can easily touch by mistake either the snooze or the dismiss.
Where did the colored hard to confuse slide (with one touch option) went?
3)Why would you put the headphone jack at the bottom? now you can't sit your phone into any holder while you work out, or in your pocket, unless it's upside down.
4) the screen dimmer does not seem to understand when you are diming it....it dims but very little unless you drastically reduce it down to nothing and then you move into a brighter area and now you can't see you screen!
So these are the annoying things, not a deal breaker at all but you would think, that designing such a state of art, one of kind, beautiful electronic that these things would not do un-noticed.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: headphone jack at the bottom
I would recommend this to a friend!
