does the job

I've had this for about 3 months. My clothes are clean & not torn up, thankfully. Small items get caught in the rubber seal, and although this does not seem to impact performance, that small item is *probably* not clean. This leads me to the second issue: I've already had to clean/wipe out this rubber seal a couple times; I'm sure I'll be doing this continuously, especially if items are heavily soiled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disposable washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit and have had to replace every part but the motor.. including the 3 plastic inserts in tub. Not impressed.

Good, basic front loader - dryer is good too!

We didn't want a washer with steam - that seemed like something else that could go wrong. We didn't want a washer with a control board that would cost a fortune and take weeks to deliver if it died. This is still very new, so we haven't had problems with it, but we were assured the parts will be available faster if we do have issues. We DID want a washer that would save water and clean the clothes - this one is excellent in both respects. We went from a very basic top loader that was on its last legs to this Frigidaire - we are very pleased with how thoroughly it cleans the clothes. The spin cycle can be adjusted - the middle to fastest spin leaves some wrinkles in knits. That's on us - the saleslady told us the steam would have helped that. Maybe next time - if there is one. We're hoping this machine lasts for years. Get the risers if you can - it makes it a lot easier to load and unload. The dryer does good job - it restricts some choices on different settings, but the wrinkle release option has been great.

We got this washer a little over a month ago and it's been amazing. It handles everything my husbands very dirty work clothes to comforters and dog beds. We have the matching dryer also, and between the pair they manage to get the dirt and dog hair out of anything and everything.

Needed major repair after 8 months!

After having it for 8 months, the inner and outer tub needed replacement because it was warped and would not spin properly. It took over a month to have the machine repaired.

We are having the same issue with the "antimicrobial seal" it has actually turned into the opposite where it collects bacteria because water and dirt collects there and causes mildew. This will continue to happen unless you clean out the seal after every wash with a towel, which is very inconvenient and a horrible experience with a washing machine. It is really bad design when the product makes worse the one thing that it is supposed to do well (instead of cleaning , it causes mildew). I was perusing the site to find replacement seals and came across these reviews and had to comment.
