poor quality

The washer has come up with a code of "E13" at least 5 different occasions in the year I have had it. It apparently has to do with a sensor. The remedy is to unplug for 5 minutes and then plug in. Huge pain to get to that plug for me. The dryer has had two parts replaced that are apparently a known problem (don't remember what they were). It's a washer and dryer! I just want it to work without babysitting it. I wouldn't buy a car that broke down every 3 months.

We have had nothing but problems. It has been services 6 times for the same problem. I am so incredibly upset with the model. We are in the process of it being fixed again!

I bought this dryer about 3 1/2 months ago. It did not start out great because my first load of laundry did not dry. I called the store where I bought it and they checked it and said it had a defect and the heat was not turning on. They gave me a new one. It seemed like it was doing fine until it started to hum and the drum did not turn. I was told to call Electrolux and they sent out a repair person. He told me this happens sometimes and he pushed a button and spun the drum and it started working. He said if it happens again they would have to replace the motor. That was about 2 weeks ago and it did hum and not turn again and I did the procedure the repair person did and it started working again. If it does it again I plan on calling Electrolux again.

Touchy heat sensor

Less than a year after owning this dryer, the heat sensor came loose from the back of the dryer and snagged and completely ruined one of my sweaters. This made the dryer completely inoperable until a repair person could come out and replace the part. It's held in place by two screws and if a garment snags it somehow, it remains caught and the sensor gets pried loose. As a family with 3 kids, I do laundry several times a week and it was a complete inconvenience to not a dryer for a week. When I spoke to the repair person, he said that it happened on a regular basis, so it seems that it's a design flaw.
