Compact Size with Big Washer Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an old washer with this Electrolux compact.. I had very limited space but I don't feel like I had to sacrifice performance. Also, the spin cycle works so well that we now need much less dryer time!
The only tiny negative that I would like to point out is that Electrolux recommends leaving the washer door open to allow the gasket to dry completely. This is fine, but the extra few inches that takes is not part of the measurements they give you when you plan out the space. Therefore, it's now awkward to close my shutter doors after a wash cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my compact Electrolux washer/dryer for approximately three weeks and, so far, couldn't be more pleased! It's very attractive, quiet, and, for its compact size, has an amazing capacity. I bought it for my newly renovated condo and have been too busy to read up on and utilize some of the macines' special features. But for normal wash modes, which I've been using regularly, it's been great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] so far so good. I have been using mine for about three weeks after a kitchen redo. It fits under the counter no problems.. no issues with banging, load balancing etc. Seems to fit a regular size load fine. I washed a gueen comforter no problem. many cycles options to choose from. No problems with start button as I saw in past reviews. Seems to clean fine. Price was high but I needed something for under the counter to eek out some more counter space in a small kitchen. I have a tough time reading the buttons without the light on and reading glasses...but that could be me!

Spin cycle stopped working

I was happy with this washer for the first year. And then's when the spin cycle stopped working. Well, it works, but not if there's a regular sized load or if there's a towel or throw in the basket. It just doesn't spin. So then I remove the sopping wet towel, throw, or half of the load, and run the rest of the load through the spin cycle. Needless to say, this is a pain in the butt and undermines the energy star rating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yikes, Heatherk! I can imagine how frustrating that must be. Sometimes, when you have a small load with a few heavy articles, it will become unbalanced. Add 1-2 similar items to help balance the load. Don't overload the washer. Load large items first. Large items should not be more than half the total wash load. The washer can be fully loaded, but the items should not be tightly packed. The door should close easily. Sounds like a 747 taking off

I just started using this machine 3 months ago although it was installed about 1 year ago. The main problem is the EXTREME noise during the spin cycle. It sounds like a plane taking off for about 5 minutes. It is heard in every corner of the house. The next issue I have is it was very difficult to understand the instructions. Not user friendly. I am still pressing buttons to figure out various cycles. It cleans ok. How dirty could 2 seventy year old people get? It was bought with matching dryer, also far from a household favorite. The main reason for purchase was that they were stackable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
