The washer is only able to handle fairly small loads. Anything else, and it registers as being 'out of balance' and halts the cycle. It doesn't matter how carefully you try to distribute the load.....it is extremely sensitive. So you end up having to wash clothes in a significantly greater number of loads.....not sure how efficient that is. Example: Cannot handle more than 2 pair of jeans!

I am not happy with this machine
on November 15, 2015

I bought this machine 6 months ago from an appliance store where I was told that it was a good machine for the money. I did not have money to spend on a more expensive machine. After a few washes, the machine started to act up. It would not complete a full wash cycle, leaving the clothes sitting in a pool of water. The appliance store sent someone out to fix it. It worked fine after that, except that every time I tried to wash anything even remotely heavy, like small throw blankets, it would go off balance, once again leaving the items in a pool of water. It worked fine as long as I did not try to wash anything heavier than sheets. But I got frustrated because I NEED to wash blankets from time to time, so I called the store and asked if I could get my money back and get a different machine. They said no but they would send someone out to see what might be the problem. He said he could not find anything wrong. NOW I can't even do a regular load of laundry without finding the clothes swimming in a pool of water! I am at my wit's end at this point and will probably find another appliance store to take this one away, buy a better machine, and not look back at the money I sunk into this awful one.

Not happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer came with the new home. Unfurtunally I am not happy with the machine. First: doesn't have a detergent dispenser, that means I have to pour it in top of the clothe which I don't like. Scnd: doesn't have a short cycle for small loads (baby clothing) and take an hour no matter which cycle you choose. Third: It brake some sheets (2) pillowcases because got stuck under the spinner and I have to buy tools to take out the spinner.

Laly, thank you for sharing your washer experience with us. Your washer needs to have the detergent added to the tub before you add the clothing. By adding the detergent before the clothing, the detergent has a chance to mix with the water and clean better. States like Florida, have notoriously hard water, and liquid detergents are recommended. If using powder detergent, you may need to use a nonprecipitating water conditioner along with it. The delicate cycle would be ideal for baby items. The washer will sense the size of the load, and the delicate setting will take the best care of baby items. I am sorry you had to purchase a ½ inch socket and wrench to take the agitator off. We try to take into consideration the tools an average consumer will have on hand, when engineering a part that the consumer would have to access normally. If you have any questions, call our Customer Engagement Center at 877-435-3287 for assistance. The hours for the Customer Engagement Center are 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8am to 6pm EST. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE
on February 3, 2014

The description of this machine does not include the fact that it is completely computerized and you have no options as to the running of the machine. The lid is locked throughout the entire process so you have no idea what is going on. The computer in the machine selects the amount of water, which is not enough for the clothes to agitate freely. What Frigidaire considers a rinse cycle consists of 3 segments of splashing a little water over the clothes that are pressed against the side of the tub following the spin after the wash, so little water that when you press the pause button and look inside you cannot see any water in the bottom of the tub, and then spinning several times. If you fill the tub as if you were going to wash again and agitate for a few minutes (at this point having completed the full wash and rinse cycles Frigidaire considers the clothes clean and rinsed), the water becomes cloudy with the soap being properly rinsed from the clothing. Without having rinsed properly, the fabric will deteriorate rapidly. $1.00 would be too much to pay for this machine.

The cancel & start buttons
on April 20, 2015

I really don't believe I should press (OR BEAT) the cancel button 20 TIMES to open the lid...when I need to stop NOT start/pause the washer...a Crowbar would be effective after about number 10 of the 20th try of hitting the button but then I couldn't use the washing machine anymore !

Hello Frigidaire Friend! First, allow me to thank you for purchasing our appliances and becoming part of our extended Frigidaire family. We hear your voice and appreciate that you've taken your time to share your important quality and design concerns. Striving to be the best home appliance company in North America, we do value your opinion. To add a forgotten item to the wash tub, press the pause button to pause the cycle. You will hear two beeps. Lift the lid and add the item. Close the lid and press START again, continuing the current cycle. If you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us directly. Kindest regards, Theresa Frigidaire Specialist

I'm so upset I didn't keep my old washer and dryer
on December 30, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I moved into a brand new home, BRAND NEW! It has all Frigidaire products. I'm so disappointed in each one. The washer not only is extremely loud and squeaks but the push button is already starting to malfunction and not work. The unit is 4 months old and I'm the only one at home. How can this already be happening? The dryer door already has popped out its metal closing clasp twice. The dishwasher gets mold in it easily if I don't leave the door open after the drying cycle and my refrigerator already needs a air and water filter change...again, I'm the only one at home and I work. These products are not being used excessively. the only three products that haven't had issues...my micro, my stove and my water heater. Good grief after 4 months... what will happen after they're a year old? It makes me wish I kept all my old non-frigidaire trusty units.
