Works great for connecting external eSATA devices. Good construction as I've alway found with CablesToGo cables. Better shielding and cable diameter is an advantage... giving me piece of mind so that I don't worry about external interference and knowing it will last a very long time.
The *only* thing I didn't like was buying a 6ft cable instead of 3ft. This was *my fault*... in not actually measuring the distance first. The shorter 3ft would have been *only* OK. Wish I'd found a 4ft selection. I will probably go ahead and purchase the shorter 3ft cable to use also. I'm currently connecting to a port on the *front* of the tower.
Pros: Rugged, Good Length

Very good tranfer rate for 2m cable: 15 gig file at constant 80-95MB/sec just under 2.75 minutes on ((SATA 3 Gbit/s to E-SATA 3 Gbit/s)) both Raid-0. Cable is less stiff and more flexible then most but still needs improvement. Same for the cable ends, wish there was a stronger non-brittle material so that the ends wouldn't chip away and break off like all the rest but only time will tell if this cable stands the test. Great so far
Pros: Good Length, Consistent Performance, Versatile
Cons: Slightly Stiff, Ends Could Be Sturdier

Esata cables have a problem. Since their inception, many brands are plagued with shortened connectors which have caused many a dropped connection and unreliability in general because the cable cannot be pushed all the way in.
This cable does not suffer from that malady. The connectors are long enough to lock into just about any Esata port (except for ones on the back of motherboards, which have a layer of padding over them). The connector could be a little longer to facilitate connections into ports with padding over them, but overall I'm glad I found this cable and I highly recommend it.
Pros: Great Quality, Long connector

I had very spotty performance with the 6 ft. counterpart of this cable. From things I've read, lengths of eSata cables over 3 ft. can be problematical. Another reported problem is the length of contact portion of plug(s). My 6 ft. cable seemed okay but after using it for a few months, it kept dropping the connection to an external Hard Drive; a couple of those times were in the middle of a backup - aaaargh! So far the 3 ft. cable seems to be doing fine. Time will tell if it becomes flaky later.
Pros: Rugged, Consistent Performance
