I am completely in love with the S6es edge. It has a bright, clear display and is easy to navigate. It took me a little time to get used to not clicking on links by resting my hand on the edge. One of my favorite things is having the edge show the clock and alarm at night. It is easy to read but not bright enough to disturb my sleep.
I've had the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for almost a month. It's THE best phone that I've ever had. I waited 10 long years for a phone that I can actually have conversation on. I've had every service provider and phone avalible; from the cheapest to the most expensive. All had dropped calls, horrible feedback and the work part? No service in an emergency when I've actually needed it-driving home alone, at night and having a flat.
This phone has completely surprised me as well as exceeded my expectations. I have been able to make and recieve calls, send email, text, update my FB ; all while listening to music. These are all things I've never been able to do before. I firmly believe that the phone, not the provider that makes all difference.
And just in case anyone is thinking oh well, that's great for you but I live in the country...well, read this closely. My family and parents all live in the country. We are so far out, Google Maps can't find us.There is only 1 home phone service provider and all their equipment is held together with duct tape and spit. When you enter our address, Google says we're not found. I got this phone, showed it to my mom and she laughed. She laughed, right up to the time we made a test call to my husband. I put him on speaker, it was like he was right there in the same room. He thought I was on the land line. Now not only do I have one, my parents bought 2. And when my husbands contract is up, he will get one as well.
Thank you Samsung.
***I was not paid for this review, nor do I know anyone that works for Samsung or my current service provider.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, camera
Cons: charger cord won't stay in the phone., had to get new cord.
I liked the idea of the edge screen but it really seemed like more of a gimmick than a useable feature and when i got messages from my "preferred contacts" the colors never appeared. also finding cases and screen protectors seemed to require indiana jones level searching.
I really like my s6 edge. My last phone was an S4. I miss a couple of features on that phone. Other than that I love it. It takes excellent pics and video. The sound is spectacular. I listen to music on it all the time. It came with Samsung headphones, which are also great. I absolutely hate the preloaded apps. And I dont like the apps trying to auto update when I connect to wifi. If there's a way to turn that off, I can't find it. The screen is pretty big. I kinda wish I had gone with the plus just for the bigger screen. I really like it. I hope I dont sound like I dont like it. I really like Samsung products. They are very smart. My friend has an S5. She said she wants to go back to an iphone because its simple. I told her she is crazy. I love exploring all the features.
Upgrading from an S-3 on sprint to a galaxy S-6 edge is a big jump for me, the screen is crystal clear, I get a lot of compliments on my s-6, everything works perfectly so far, excellent camera, big upgrade from an Samsung S-3. Merry Christmas to Me....keep up the good work Samsung.
