Love this thing!!!

I am a blender nut, I have spent lots of money on blenders as I move a lot so I have to buy new ones, I have had all the big names - Vitamix, Blendtec(burnt out making almond butter in the jar made for nut butter FYI!!), currently using a Omniblend which I would rate a 3/5. I am currently moving back to Canada and thankfully had my daughter hold on to my B&D for me as it was a KEEPER!!! This blender keeps up NP with Vitamix, and is better than all the rest I have owned. It has a well shaped jug for perfect blending results which allows you to even make vegan thick ice cream ( something my Omniblend struggles to do). I'M TELLING YOU buy it! For the price you get more than you pay for!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Went to use it filled it 1/3 full of water to rinse it out leaking water around propeller

Excellent blender but missing pieces.

I just opened my new in box and original packaging BL6010 blender and it was packaged without the center piece for the cover! I tried using it without that piece to make a smoothie but without that piece the liquids just pulsate up and down. It appears it is critical to keeping pressure down on the liquids. Please contact me for a replacement part! Other then missing pieces it was powerful super quiet and in the end made a perfectly blended smoothie. (Quite a mess missing the center cover and using a towel to keep liquids in!)

Bottom rusted

The bottom rusted in less than a year. Made the blades stick and not turn properly and everything leak out.

I used it to make smoothies fine, but using the supposedly powerful enough motor to make hummus, it overheated and broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No longer sealed, grease inside cup

Both cups are leaking and there is grease inside cup. Because it is losing the grease, it makes so much noise. I was hoping it would last longer

I bought this blender and was surprised at how well it does esp for smoothies! it's crushes the ice very well and makes them smooth like I like them. It also works well for blending other wet or dry ingredients for things.
I would recommend this to a friend!
