Broke my iPhone 6, so I decided to switch. Love the customizability, and no more fussing with iTunes and hiding unused apps in folders. Keyboard is much better, and the screen is crystal clear. Only qualm is that the battery life could certainly be better
Before purchasing the Galaxy S6 I had a Galaxy Express, which was my first smart phone. The Express worked very well, but it was slow at times, and the camera was terrible. I couldn't get a clear picture no matter how steady I held the phone. But when I bought my S6, I could not believe how fast it operated and how crystal clear the pictures and videos are that I take with the phone. And on top of that, I love the larger screen (much larger than my Express). I love my new phone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, processing spead, clarity of pictures
Cons: expensive, frequent updates on apps i don't use.

I was not expecting much from this year's phone. Tiny software tweaks, tiny camera adjustment, new screen, no removable battery and no microSD slot. I was wrong. The software is easier and actually makes sense now while taking up less space. The camera is fantastic in quality for well lit and dim lighting and just an all around joy to use. Fast launching feature from any screen, even off, is awesome! And now the screen... wow. This screen has ruined all other screens for me. It is bright, can get very dim if needed, and man is it sharp and vivid. As for sealing up the battery and no SD card slot, we'll the 128 gb version is plenty of space and quick charging works. Well done Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, awesome camera, good software changes, build quality is amazing
Cons: small battery. (quick charging still is fantastic)

Finally, a tablet in my shirt pocket

When the tablet idea started, I thought it could become more than a practical joke only if the size was reduced to fit into a shirt pocket. That never happened, and smartphones were always too small and/or too slow and/or lacking function. The Galaxy S6 is now a smartphone I finally use as a tablet. It runs MS-Office OneNote, Firefox, and MS-Outlook (and every other Android app out there, obviously). And the built-in camera is ridiculously good.
I went from the Galaxy 3 to the Galaxy 6. Pretty much the same. Love Samsung!!!

The gs6 is a great phone in all areas with great brightness, a superb camera, and a crystal clear display. The battery life could be a bit better but it meets expectations.
