For 2018 this phone is a pile of junk.

I bought this a week ago and it is impossible to get the android updated. Samsungs update center ALWAYS says that they are temporarily out of service and to come back later. Plus it runs buggy. I don't think this is the same quality as the ones made when the s6 was just released.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Within a few days the phone was not functioning anymore.

Nice phone, but is limited to Android 5.02.

I like the phone but have issues with it being limited to Android 5.02. I found that some of the apps that I use could not be downloaded because of this. I also have concerns about security. Settings show that the Android security patch level is 2016-11-01. I will return it for a comparably priced iPhone 6.
