Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback as it is greatly appreciated. We will be happy to forward your comments to the product team.
Please note, all of our current slow cookers do cook at higher temperature settings than our old ones. The Keep Warm setting is approximately 165 - 170 degrees F. Both the Low & High settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the High setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the Low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. It can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full with liquid or sauce, and you may also have to adjust your cook times accordingly. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.

Thank you for taking the time to review one of our products as we appreciate all of the concerns our consumers bring to our attention. Please call us at 1-800-323-9519; Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, EST and we will be happy to help.
With newer model Crock-Pot™ slow cookers, due to concerns about food safety, both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215 degrees Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the Low setting will. On the warm setting, your Crock-Pot™ slow cooker will be between 165 degrees and 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot slow cooker can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 - 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot™ slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot™ slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning.
If you still feel that your Crock-Pot slow cooker is cooking at too high of a temperature, We have a test that you can try: Fill your Crock-Pot slow cooker about 2/3 full with water, and turn it on. After an hour or two, test the temperature with a candy thermometer (or any other thermometer that goes up to around 250 degrees F.). The temperature should be within the 215 degrees F. range, give or take several degrees.

I replaced my 8 year old crock pot due to a crack in the crock ( which could be expected given how often I use it). This replacement was bought a month ago, has been used twice and when I pulled it out today it was cracked! no more for me. Buyer beware!

My wife loves the crockpot. Haven't had any issues with hardware or electronics. The only reason I did not give it five stars was the fact that it did not come with a transportation strap for the lid

Once again disappointed in a slow cooker!

I grew up with my mom using crock pots, and myself. They were the kind with a separate base that could be used as a grill. I loved them and only gave them up when the bases quit working. The had n manual knobs from 1 to 5. Since then I have had no luck finding a descent slow cooker. Either the metal ones lose all the nonstick coating or the earthenware one just don't cook. Something they have in common tho is the lack of control of temperature. This one so far is the worst. Even tho I tested the temperature multiple times, per company advise, for accuracy, I still cannot use the keep warm setting. It burns the food. It should not be cooking at this setting as hot as the high setting. So, while I love the fact that the pot can be used on the stovetop for Browning beef, I cannot set and leave the food or cook on its own, nor put on keep warm to hold food for any length of time. Please bring back the old fashioned type of slow cookers, I don't think I will be buying another anytime soon.

Thank you for your review. Both High and Low stabilize at the same temperature (209°F); it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On High, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas on Low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. Once the peak temperature has been reached, it is normal for most foods to stay at that boiling temperature until the product is powered off. You may need to adjust cooking times to better suit our current line of slow cookers. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this slow cooker to review and I love this! Can brown my meat in the cooking pot and then add rest of my ingredients in the same pot and then put the same pot in the slow cooker to finish cooking. Its easy to clean and holds alot of ingredients when making soup! I will be using this slow cooker alot!
Pros: easy to clean, cooking pot can be used on stovetop
Cons: gets really hot when using on stovetop, black coating is already chipping after a month, kind of heavy

Love my Slow Cooker. Made pulled pork for the first time, It was great & easy. We had a fire that destroyed my manual & the cook book. Is it possible to get a new ones. I love my slow cooker & am learning every day how to convert my recipes into using the slow cooker. Thanks you for your time & for making such a great unit. ps I have even made a special cupboard in our RV so I can take it with us for the winter.
