I bought this a few months ago, have only used it maybe 4 times, and only once on the stove, the coating is now coming off near the lid. I have taken great care of this item and expected better from crock pot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE HAD CROCK POTS FOR MOST OF MY COOKING YEARS--60 AND THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST OF ALL!! LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN SEAR RIGHT IN THE POT THEN RETURN IT TO THE COOKER AND THERE YOU GO

This is such a wonderful crock-pot. Not only can you go from stove to slow cooker, I also can start out my chicken & dumplings in slow cooker and finish up on the stove. I love how much lighter the crock is compared to my older slow cooker, I absolutely LOVE THIS.

I have this pot I used it 10 times and it went out. I loved it, it was a great pot but as much as it cost should have lasted longer. I bought a different crock pot brand one. If it don't last I will never use this brand again. Margie Hart

The stoneware in my ten year old crock pot cracked. Instead of just getting the same model again, I upgraded to this new model that I saw on Crock-pot's website. I am glad I did. I now, happily, brown meat and fowl along with sautéing vegetables in preparation for slow cooking without using additional pans. It makes me want to cook even more. Love it!
