My first CP I had 20 years. loved it! I bought this 6quart electronic touch CP about a year ago. The 3rd time I used it, New Years day, the pot would not heat up! We had 3 pots of stew going for family football time and I needed this to work. Of course we tried other outlets, no go! It was brand new and the electronic panel went out. Frustrated we put it away. So, about a month later we tried it again. It worked. Great! I was not trusting it yet so made sure I used it while at home and checking the heat. It was ok! Now the other day we try it again. It works great on high. Later, I turn it to low and leave to do errands. I came home 2 hours later to a granite counter that was seriously HOT to the touch and the food was bubbling. The temperature was not low! It was freaking HOT. I unplugged it. Set it on the stove top and wiped the counter down in COLD water. The counter stayed HOT for a long time. I am glad I came home and realized how hot the whole pot was. This CP is in the garbage! It is not safe! Now I am looking for the old manual dial but wondering if that will even be safe. Crockpot, you used to have a great product that would last for years. What was the change and why?

I bought this a at the beggining of January and was disappointed when it came in.
I have loved the Crock Pot brand forever; however,the lid handle is too flimsy.
The crock pot cooks great but I would rather they keep the same quality and raise prices.
