This TV is everything I hoped it would be. I did over two months of research before deciding to buy this TV and my purchase was influenced by all the other great reviews I read . I went to the store to look at this TV and the 8000 series. After seeing both playing I decided I did not like the curved screen of the 8000, nothing wrong with it just a personal preference. This TV is amazing, great picture not sure about sound because I have it hooked to a 330 watt surround sound system and have never listened to it without it. My research made it clear that Samsung was the only manufacturer I would consider

I feel overall that the TV is awesome. I have only one "beef" and that is the wireless internet connection is not as stable as my prior Samsung Plasma TV in the same spot. I have invested in a wireless repeater to extend range for some improvement, but still had a better netflix experience with the prior plasma TV in that same spot (without a repeater). Anyway, willing to overlook this because of having other DVD internet connections to resort to if TV is problematic at any given moment. Still pleased overall and will continue to look for ways to improve wireless connections.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, menus, updated universal remote
Cons: wireless weak in my situation.

Tv is great. Love the picture and features. Recently, the tv has started to flash green for a quick flash of a second. just started noticing this the last couple days. Hopefully the new FW update will fix this. Besides this issues, Tv has been perfect.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, picture
Cons: green screen flash

the only thing is when u have full blast no energy saver the sides get real hot other than that picture is smooth and beautiful.great tv

I enjoy the picture quality and 3D experience the TV brings. But for all the processing power the TV still lags quite often and require me to do a had shutdown.
The firmware needs some more tweaking in order to take advantage of the quad core processing these TV's have. And app developers need to work with Samsung closer so there apps stay working after firmware updates.

Outstanding Picture, BUT...

This 65" HDTV is a fantastic piece of equipment. The picture is unbelievable, it is so thin you can't believe it can really work like it does, and it has more features than I'll ever figure out how to use. BUT there's the problem: you spend all this money for the TV, and you CANNOT get a physical, hold-it-in your-hands-while-you learn-your-new HDTV owner's manual. I'm old school, and I like the physical-look-it-up-anytime-you feel-like-it manual. I think it's sad that you make such a magnificent HDTV, but then go cheap by not offering a physical manual, even if I'm willing to pay for it. And don't try hiding behind the "it's ecologically correct to not waste all that paper" story: there's enough Styrofoam packaging in the box to do it's own fair share of polluting.
Cons: no hard_copy owner"s manual

One feature I wanted was smartview so I could take my ipad to the kitchen or garage and mirror what was on my t.v. screen while cooking etc. In 2014 the smartview feature only works with samsung tablets. Prior to 2014 release the ipad worked with the feature.
in certain light conditions the t.v. gets very dark as if you turned down the brightness in settings. I have to turn lights on in the house to get it to automatically bring the light back up.
I regret buying this tv and will not recommend it.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, smartview doesnt work with ipad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
