We replaced an old faithful washer with a GE washer. What a wonderful addition to our home. We love the quiet and efficient appliance. It's a great asset to our home.

Leaves white marks

This product leaves white marks all over dark clothes. We have to rewash without soap to get them to come clean. I use HE liquid soap and not very much of it. I can't image what it leaves on stuff that I can not see. It's very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this washer and dryer set this week and they have yet to disappoint. The washer and dryer are both huge and clean efficiently. It allows us to do a lot more in a single load without sacrificing cleanliness. Also, the washer is very quiet which is a major plus.

Works ok with small loads, but not large or bulky

This is my first "high/energy efficiency" (i.e., non-agitator) washer. I bought it primarily for the large capacity in order to wash bedding & king size comforters. The problem with this washer is that the water level is never high enough to cover bulky items leaving dirt and soap all over them and there is no control option to adjust the water level (the machine "senses" the load size and allocates a pre-programmed water level). Apparently all of these washers (all brands, not limited to GE) have the same "high efficiency" drawbacks. So I recommend sticking with an older technology agitator washer (with a user select-able water level) if you want to actually get your items clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
