Keeps wearing out the same parts periodically

As soon as it got out of warranty it broke the rotating parts on the bottom of the drum that control the belt this motor spinning the drum back-and-forth they’re all made out of plastic parts may keep stripping the gears every single time after one year

this product is very disappointing

Purchased this product for our new home. Only used for about 4 months and the water level stopped filling. Was told entire drum had to be replaced. Replaced drum, and now less than a year issue of washer not properly filling is again present. We will be replacing the washer with another brand, and I would not recommend a GE product again. Service is expensive, and not interested in paying for service for fear the problem will return again.

Does not clean

Does not get clothes clean at all. My kids got sick 2 months ago and the clothes they were wearing STILL smell like vomit! I had to take them to the laundrymat to get them clean (1 wash and the smell was gone).
I've tried all the tips and tricks, different detergents (but I use Tide regularly) and I'm confident that it's the washer, not me.
Huge waste of money.

Leaks!!!

Bought this washer & dryer set & would LOVE it except it LEAKS!!!!!!! It's just a tiny bit of water toward the front of the washer, but we're on our third washing machine & everyone has leaked!!! Every other aspect of the washer & dryer I love, but can't go for the leaks. Sorry to say the set has to go back. GE needs to figure out this problem!

Washer wraps clothes up in a sausage roll. If you wash dark clothes they come out with soap residue. I have to use "extra rinse" which still doesn't get the residue out. I think this is just a poor design.

Always out of balance

I bought this washer a year and have had problems from day one. The repair guy has replaced the struts 3 times, the balance ring once, and the tub once. Still not balancing. Does not matter how full the load is, off balance every load.

Out of balance and too little water

I have two issues with this washer. First it gets out of balance and shakes and rattles while spinning. It has "walked" out several inches on the floor at times. It bangs and rocks from side to side. I am careful to distribute the clothes but still happens sometimes. Next there is not enough water to wash the clothes. I have to set the water level at Deep Fill for every load, or else the clothes come out matted and with a soap scum. I have several friends that have purchased this same washer and are very unhappy with it. I wish I had researched this before buying.
