Works like a dream

Finally had to replace our 25+ year old GE washer (great local appliance repair guy - but parts no longer available). I have been researching replacements occasionally over the past few years because I knew this day would come. This is a new model, and I knew that some of the negative reviews here could not be right because those units were purchased long before this model was on the market.
Noise and vibration are excellent. This unit is in our main living area about 4 feet from our TV/entertainment center separated only by a set of folding doors. The old washer was definitely loud and the spin cycle would shake the TV dramatically. This new model is barely noticeable regardless of cycle.
Clothes are cleaned and spun very well. In fact, my lightweight gym shorts were so dry I didn't even have to put them in the dryer. The quicker drying time (still using old dryer) is dramatic. No agitator for clothes to get tangled up in. I have watched it work a lot, and it is impressive how it uses so little water but makes sure all of the clothes are wetted and washed. We had a weeks worth of laundry to catch up on, and it's done great with all kinds of loads, including sheets, a comforter, and the dog beds.
We really like the ability to load it up with detergent and forget about it.
Far from being gimmicky, the network connected feature is a real bonus - my wife and I get notifications when the load is done, and again if nobody comes and tends to it. Sometimes we forget when we put a load in at night and int he past, wet clothes would sometimes sit 'till morning. The only area so far that could be improved would be the functionality of the app, as it is finicky sometimes to pull up and get status, but even then the notifications always seem to work.
All in all, we are very pleased. The only thing left to wonder about is long term reliability, but only time will tell.

Amazing Washer!

I had owned for 7 years a front loader GE that was wonderful in every way except for the mold problem on the giant front rubber gasket. This machine does not have one and holds all the large rugs and comforters that my front loader could not accommodate, thank you GE for making this substitute which is now ideal!

I read the reviews and there were a lot of great things said. However; this product rocks too much and it does;t clean my clothes well. I also have detergent residue on my clothes after a wash. Its is loud and doesn't clean large loads very well.

Best Washer I've EVER Owned!

I've had an expensive front loading washer for the past 10 years. I recently moved to a new house and didn't want to take the old W/D with me. Happened upon this model in my local appliance store and was immediately impressed with tub capacity, engineering and most of all, the soap / softener dispenser. OMG. Best invention EVER. Love it.

Worst ever

2nd machine. Leaks water on the floor. I've lost track of how many times this machine and the first machine were serviced. Incredibly disturbing that GE quality has gone down so far. My house is filled with GE products. Now, I am rethinking my commitment.

Smart dispense is awesome!

I really like the smart dispense for the soap and the fabric softener. I filled both two weeks ago and I haven't even hit the half mark yet. It's really nice to be able to just throw my clothes in and go, without having to take time to put soap in for each load.

Like the auto detergent dispenser

Dispenser is nice, but one time I used it, it left spots on my clothes. I had to wash them again not using the dispenser.
