Love these cups, the shape is elegant, and they are easy to handle. They keep fingers from getting burnt while showing off what our new machine can do. That said, no - they don't keep the coffee warm for longer, I might even guess that because the glass is so thin, the coffee cools quicker than a standard ceramic mug. Anyone saying otherwise, sorry to ruin your placebo. But that is not why I removed a star...I removed a star because these are incorrectly listed at 270ml / 9oz. Really? C'mon Delonghi, this one is easier to test, even to the rim is almost 8oz. But realistically, I've set my beverage to 180ml to ensure it can be handled without spilling. So realistically this "270ml" (9oz) cup will allow a 6oz beverage. Delonghi is giving the impression that this cup can hold 50% more than it actually can. Shame.
These cups are great but don’t put them in the dishwasher. There is a little hole in the bottom of the cup that is glued to seal the air between the inner and outer layers of glass. This glue will break down if you put these in the dishwasher resulting in water between the two layers of glass that is impossible to completely remove. Just hand wash and you will be happy with how these cups keep your espresso warm.
Product not as advertised, De'Longhi would not accept return of the item even after they acknowledge error.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty but not all made the same. The inside volume very quite a bit between our two glasses They also seem a bit delicate but we loved the little espresso glasses.
I would recommend this to a friend!
