The printer prints everything we've input clearly and efficiently. I think it is noisy, but I don't like noise as a general rule, so I may be over sensitive. Anyway, I would buy it again. And photos are well replicated, too.

Very pleased with the ease of ordering online. Printer arrived in just a couple of days. Set up was very easy and I am thrilled with the "wireless" connection capability. Print quality is excellent. I really like the ink well concept that Canon uses too! A couple of things concerned me at first. The paper tray must remain open at all times if loaded w/paper. (My other Canon printer had a paper tray that was hidden below the unit.) This unit is very noisy. The printer won't continue with the print command if all of the doors are not open. (My other printer discharge tray door automatically opened when a document was printing.) Overall, I am very pleased with this printer. Yes, I would recommend it.

This printer is what I have been waiting for and I did not even
know it. I love all fo the features and the fact that I can send printing commands from any area in my home. Color quality is terrific. Duplex printing is flawless. Installation was very easy as well as setting up the WIFI connection. I really, at this time, cannot find anything to complain about. This is a great printer that fits my every need. GREAT PRODUCT!!! By the way, I have the MG6420 model.........

Fast printer

This printer is really fast, that is it's high point. The front is very uncluttered and easy to use. Most of the main functions are there. I especially like the 3" screen, easy to read and understand. It is noisy, it makes much more noise then my Canon MP620B did. It just seems like there is less caseing around it, so the noise comes out more. It still does it's cleaning and other sounds, but they are 10 to 20 db higher and last longer.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed
Cons: noisy
I would recommend this to a friend!

what a headache

I purchased this printer because i trust Cannon and it said it would work with a Mac. There was no CD for the Mac, only one for the windows which i knew , but did not expect it to be this hard to find the info on the internet. I went on line looking for help and the easy access sites are the ones you have to pay for. STILL trying to get my printer up and running. Not happy at all with this.

VERY POOR QUALITY

DO NOT BUY this Printer. It was sent to me as a warranty replacement for a MG5320. The 5320 is a well build quality device, unfortunately the MG6420 is not. It is cheaply built, has no paper cassette, no secondary paper entry port, you need to manually pull down the exit tray EVERY TIME you PRINT. It is quite possibly the cheapest build printer I have ever seen. IF you are really considering this printer, I have one for sale.
Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: Difficult to use, Flimsy Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

MG6420 Specification Error

Be very careful when you are considering a Canon MG series printer. Many of the Canon MG printer's specifications infer the printer has fax capabilities and they do not. I learned this the hard way after receiving my new Canon printer and realized it had no fax telephone hook-ups. I am now scrambling to find ways to fax information to my clients.

Horrific

This is the worst printer we have ever owned. We bought it mainly for our two kids, both in high school, to use for homework, papers, etc. We are not high volume users; we may print 50 pages a month. Yet the printer eats through ink like no other printer we've ever had. When it says the ink is out, I have a hard time believing it's actually out; the ink cartridges feel like there is still ink inside, they don't feel super lightweight like they do when they are truly out of ink. But it doesn't matter because it won't work until you buy a new cartridge, and they are very expensive. The printer is tempermental, it works sometimes, won't work sometimes. It is very slow to power up or power off, and takes longer than you'd expect to print a basic job. Horribly slow over wifi. I would love to press "reset" and go back to the moment I decided to buy this printer over the many others I was considering. But too late for that now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
