Rack design much improved and it cleans better

Our last dishwasher had numerous problems. GE replaced it after failed attempts to repair it. They gave us the choice of a couple of comparable priced models. We chose this one and we have not had any issues since it was installed. The only feature I do not like is the Rinse dispenser. It is difficult to fill it but all GE models seem to have the same one. One critical element I learned about dishwashers is the installation. Get a genuine GE tech to install it. Many deliverymen do not know how to properly install appliances.

Great Dishwasher!

This is an overall great dishwasher. I've only had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks now but overall my first impressions are very good.
I'll start first with the things I don't like about the dishwasher. Honestly my only real complaint is the omission of a few of the extras that appear on the 580 model which costs $100 dollars less (MSRP). For instance, they removed the two utility shelves on the top rack for washing wine glasses as well as the small item basket. Again both of these are very minor issues, but you figure for $100 more it would come with all of the features of the cheaper model plus some!
Now on to the the things I love about this dishwasher! First and foremost the main reason I decided to pay the extra money, the 3rd rack is awesome! I've never had a dishwasher that had one before but after this one, I may never own one that doesn't! It does make it so some dishes won't fit in the top rack anymore but nothing that makes it a major inconvenience, definitely worth the extra money. Performance wise, the dishwasher is excellent. There so many different options that can suit any wash scenario. I haven't used all of the options yet, however, it has performed better than expected each time I've used it. Over the holidays, we probably ran it once a day, if not twice a day for two weeks straight to keep up with everyone in the house and it performed like a charm, I never had to rewash any of the dishes. Also, compared to my old dishwasher, this thing is whisper quite, sometimes I have to put my ear up to the door just to make sure it's still running and that it's not broke! And finally, I absolutely love GE's slate finish. I think it looks 10x better than the typical SS finishes and is smudge proof!
Overall I really enjoy this dishwasher and would recommend it to anyone who might be on the fence.

I bot this with some other GE appliances after much research. The most important is noise level in a dishwasher and this one is very quiet. In fact I had to look at it to see if it was on (it was as the light was on). It cleans really well and the slate color is beautiful. I also like the little chime that comes on when it is started and done with the cycle. Am very happy.

Great Dishwasher!

I bought this dishwasher 6 months ago. It is so quite I can't hear it running unless everything else is off in the house. Cleans really well and dries so well the dishes are never wet. Really happy with it.
