Plastic walls, not stainless steel - thus noisier than expected.
Also, because of smaller motor size, water pump during operation is again, noisier than expected.

Always broken or with issues

From day one there has been an issue with my new dishwasher. I've had GE come out to repair it and it still continues to have issues. So once again I have to call GE out to repair it! I'm totally disappointed with the dishwasher. I did not have a choice in what brand products were placed in my new home. Lennar chose the appliances.

SLOW not effective

first I will start off with the pros. it is the quietest dishwasher I ever heard you can barely hear it when it is running. it also has a ton of organized space for forks and knives which is very nice. cons. you need to put the unit on a heavy cycle to even get the dishes close to being clean. and it is still not effective. and then run time for a heavy cycle is forever. also besides the dishes not being fully cleaned they also never get fully rinsed. there is a lot of soap residue left over. I love GE and their products but I am definitely not satisfied with this one

Nothing worked on this dishwasher. It was serviced 3 times and couldn't be fixed and we decided to buy another model. The guys that took the dishwasher away said they take more of these models away than any other.

Nice Economical Dishwasher

We've had this dishwasher for almost 2 months and are very happy with it. Wish it came with illustrations of the recommended use of the trays for the proper loading of items to be washed. (Which we are still trying to figure out.) We don't have to wash dishes as frequently as in our old dishwasher. We are only 2 in our home and this machine will hold 12 place settings. We find the open trays a big plus as we can now use machine for larger baking and cooking trays, pans etc. which we've always had to hand wash before. We are amazed at how quietly this dishwasher runs, a huge plus!

This was installed by our builder I've ask for a credit. This machine is so noisy it's sound like a plane landing in my kitchen daily. I pre-rinse large food from dishes but I don't feel like it wash them well because they still feel and look dirty. I've adjusted rinse agent and soap levels and I'm just not happy. If I have guess and it's running they always ask what is that noise?
The racks are not conducive to loading my dishes and I can't seem to find a way that works. I had a another brand before for 20 years and loved it. This GE is just not for me. I'm replacing this machine with a totally different brand.
