Cheap dishwasher

We purchased our new home with this dishwasher. Had everything from the thermostat, mother board, soap dispensing cup replaced twice. Finally was replaced with a new one and had issues with that one too. Returned it to GE and bought a new dishwasher different company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I agree with some of the reviews I've read. I was so use to my other dishwasher that worked fine. Just brought all new appliances and wanted the set. I hate every time when I close it that the light stays on for a while. Should be able to close and manually turn it on when needed. Unless I am doing something wrong or there is another option. Please advise. I do agree that the door needs to be kept opened after every wash. Stays wet which can cause a odor down the road. Will look into replacing later on.

SOAP DESPENSER IS A DISAPPOINTMENT

THE NEGATIVE IS THE SOAP DISPENSER. I'VE TRIED TO USE LIQUID SOAP BUT IT DOES NOT COMPLETELY EMPTY. THE SOAP STAYS IN THE HOLDER, IT RUNS DOWN THE DOOR AND STAYS ON THE DOOR. THE SOAP WILL GET ON THE UTENSILS AND STAYS ON THEM. THE WATER DOES NOT TAKE THE SOAP OFF. IT DRYS ON THE DOOR AND UTENSILS. I RATED THIS DISH WASHER AS POOR BECAUSE THE PURPOSE IS TO CLEAN DISHES IF I USE LIQUID SOAP OR NOT.

Bought the dishwasher a couple of months ago....it's okay but wish I would of got something a little different....takes a long time to wash
