Run away from this machine!

Stay away from this machine. Both the upper and lower racks will rust and break and GE will do nothing about it. Replacement parts are no longer available and the new parts don't fit

Racks are rusting out and staining dishes/cups. Heated dish drying stopped working.

Noisy and Dishes are Still Dirty

So this is by far the worst dishwasher I have ever used.. First off it is incredibly noisy with weird noises -- not your typical "washing noises".. It sounds like electricity pulsing in a Frankenstein movie. Not to mention that the silverware holder is the worst thing I have ever seen. Add that with the fact that the top shelf has rows that aren't wide enough for even a normal size glass to fit properly I would say this is going to the curb very soon. It was installed during new construction at the contractors choice so I don't feel bad ripping it out and trashing it, trash belongs in the landfill not in my kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Dishwasher I Ever Owned

This dishwasher was in the house we bought. It was new and worked for 11 months. After having to hand wash our dishes, we finally got another dishwasher from another brand. Will never buy another GE product other than microwave oven!

Great Bang For The Buck!

The dishwasher works, and that is what we need and want! The price is not bad either. It is not as quiet as more expensive units, but we can live with that considering we saved some coin.
