This dishwasher does not have a good drying process. That's the biggest disappointment.

A sound proofing rubber piece fell off under the toe board but the repairman natal led a new one while he was working on the cooktop

love the utensil tray and bottle washers, but....

The 3rd rack utensil tray is great. I've hate the flatware baskets all dishwashers include. The bottle washer jets are great for cleaning water bottles, travel mugs etc. my only gripes: the 3rd rack was not installed correctly (service guy fixed it that day) and a hose came loose a week later (again quickly fixed)

Horrible instructions and main gasket leaked from

The instructions were horrible. The wording was broken English. The diagrams did not match the actual dish washer. The main gasket failed out of the box! It took over a week for new part.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very pleased so far after several months of use. I get a notification on my phone when it's time to refill the rinse aid, etc.

Initially Disappointed, but works now

Didn't work when first installed. We used contractors that were already renovating the kitchen to do the installation. This should be an easy decision, but it's not clear if out of box quality or installation was the root cause. GE service people came out with no issue and repaired the washer. It's worked fine ever since. The features are pretty basic and the wash cycle is long. It is VERY Quiet, which is a huge improvement from the 20 year old washer. As I understand it, these new efficiency dishwashers are all long cycles to reduce water and energy use. It seems a RINSE aid is required to avoid wet dishes as the drying function is not wonderful. I thought I was buying one of the higher end GE washers.......seems average, but my only comparison is the 20 year old machine

OK dish washer

This unit is well made and very solid. It is by far the quietest dish washer I have ever owned and was purchased with that in mind. It replaced a non stainless GE unit which served us well for 13 years with Zero issues. The reasons that I gave it 4 starts is: 1. The unit gets very hot inside in drying mode which you would assume because of this that your dishes would be dry. All glass and hard plastics items will be but other stuff does not and lots of drops of water remain inside the unit, mostly collecting on tracks and trays. This is not something we had issues with on our old unit. So far I have cured this by opening the door to the unit after it is done and it dries out nicely, but again, at this price point you expect perfection. 2. The unit smells inside even when empty. I have cleaned the built in trap and this does not help. Again something that was not an issue with our non-stainless interior unit. I found that keeping the door open also helped with this matter. As I mentioned before, at this price point, these are not issues that you should be dealing with, but we make it work for us.
