Great Features!

This model is superior to the previous PDT760SSFSS model. It cleans somewhat better and is even quieter--so much so that I find myself making sure it actually is on! The displays are easy to understand and read.
The third rack allows more room for other dishes in the bottom two racks. If I have a lot of silverware, I add the basket provided to the bottom rack. The third rack makes putting up silverware an easy task, especially if you allow space for grouping like pieces together. Just grab a handful and store. However, it was some time before I noticed the tiny knife/fork/spoon directional guide imprinted on the front of the actual rack. That was somewhat helpful, but after lots of experimenting, I found that knives and spoons fit better on the larger left side, and forks fit better on the right side, tines facing out in back and front. Unless each particular utensil is from the same pattern shape, you will find that you will likely have to skip slots so that they won't nest.
The adjustable 2nd rack adjusts to allow for most taller items below (vases, pitchers, etc.) without interfering with the 3rd rack. Also, there are some adjustable separators on the lower two racks to allow for wider/narrower dishes. I don't adjust them unless it's essential because it's not always clear how they work, and I don't want to break them.
Apparently, because of newer government regulations, you are not going to find any new dishwasher that dries as well as those made 10 years ago. If you use the recommended Platinum Plus pods, you will have better results, and glass will sparkle. You can put all but the flimsiest plastic in even the bottom rack, but it will be dripping wet at the end of the cycle. That's still true even though I use the "Power Dry" and "SANITIZE" cycles. I use the "sanitize" cycle because the last rinse is very hot, and I have an immune-compromised family member. Adding these features also enhances drying, but at the expense of a +3 hour cycle. If I can, I wash dishes in the evening so that they will have all night to dry. Even then, be ready with a cloth to wipe the bottoms of mugs and glasses that have even slight depressions.
There are two reasons I did not give this dishwasher a "5." One is because of the drying issue, which I doubt is GE's fault. If so, I hope "regulators" will see that some of the imposed regulations may not actually save much energy, given extended wash times, etc., or washing by hand since dishes don't dry--which of course, uses much more and hotter water. The second is that illustrations on placement of dishes, silverware, and adjustments were poor. GE should consider providing videos with options or at least asking non-GE users to evaluate manuals.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Clean and Quiet

We bought this to replace an 11 year old GE Profile that had probably outlasted its intended life. This dishwasher has been outstanding and has more feature available than we will ever use. WiFi? It has it so you can clean while on vacation and return to clean dishes. Not sure who wants to do that but it's available. On the practical side this dishwasher is so quiet we thought there was a problem and opened it up to find it in the middle of the cleaning cycle. Everything comes out extremely clean. No spots no nothing except clean dishes. Racks are very well engineered. The upper silverware trays are ingenious! You can actually do away with the normal basket and increase space available for dishes or pans. Highly recommend this machine.

I changed water valve. Learned later where float was located. It is froze up. Can't figure out how to get it out down in hole. Hoping pump does not have to be removed to get to float.

I am underimpressed!

I bought the entire GE Profile kitchen package. I was told by the salesperson that the newer dishwashers did not dry as well as the older models. Boy was that an understatement. I usually have to towel dry them after going through the heated dry cycle. The dishes don't always get clean eventhough we are so careful not to leave food caked on the dishes. And the top drawer that I thought was so cool is an annoyance. I should have thought about the fact that it takes up some of the space that the cups on the top rack take up. I marked I would recommend to a friend, but that's only because there was no undecided option.
