How'd it go, I'm no pro...

I bought this set-up about a month ago, kinda looks intimidating by everything in the boxes. I took it one step at a time and found it was easily installed,there are many videos from defender on youtube. I am a paper type manual kind of guy, but it was so simple I review a couple steps in the online manual and viola before I knew it I was done. The picture quality to me is very good, and the night vision is also very good. My entire property is watched by defender cameras and I feel a much greater level of security for my family. I have it split into two locations to physically watch it, in my office at home and in my bedroom. Cameras are easy to set up. I had a problem with 3 of the cameras night vision at first but simply unplugging them for 10-15 seconds each remedied the issue. My first video security system I have ever dealt with so as a novice, this set-up was a pleasure...

Easy to install

Although I bought this in January & pre-installed the cables in February while the house was still under construction, I did not install the cameras & activate the system until early June. Other than a minor technical glitch with password (which tech support helped me resolve) the setup was almost flawless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this system due to security concerns after speaking with my neighbors that they were broken into during the day because they have high hedges in front of their house. I feel better that there is 24 hours recording that I can access if I need to! Also great for checking in on my dog's activities when I am at work!
