Defender Video Security System Review

I purchased this system about a month ago and considered having it installed by a contractor. Then I thought about dealing with a contractor running cable through my house and decided to try installing it myself. I was very pleased with the ease of mounting and connecting the cameras. Hid the cables under wood moldings on the walls. Got video as soon as the cables were plugged up to the dvr. I thought getting the system up on the pc and on my cell phone would be difficult. I watched the videos on youtube and tried getting the system up. I did need help with this part but a defender tech called me and gave me excellent phone support about 2 hours after my request for help. The tech, Michel, was excellent with his customer service attitude and his knowledge of how to walk me through what was going on. I wrote it all down and feel very confident I can take care of the tech aspects of the system myself now. My system is up and running and I can see my house while traveling and have very good piece of mind. Considering what it cost to have a Comcast or other communications company install and monitor, this is an outstanding way to go. I am very pleased with it. The only thing I may do is get a higher resolution camera for one of my locations. Other than that, outstanding value!

Bought this product to use on a boat as a aid to docking as well as security. Easy to set up and sales and support are located in the US and Canada.

I bought this a few weeks ago and I am glad I did. Easy set up, works great with the smart phone for viewing when away from home. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this about a month ago. I upgraded my DVR from a 8 to 16 camera system. Easy to view and setup. I would highly recommend Defender products and customer service is great.

Cameras are excellent, installation instructions are very good.
I had the system installed by a professional installer. He had installed the Defender brand before and was very impressed.
We wanted a system with an audible tone when the motion was detected. Still working with this feature to get it to work
the way we want. Overall nice system for a good price.

Excellent system Great customer service

I bought this system about a month ago. Installation was easy for this 70 year old man. I had some problems setting it up. However, Brian spent hours solving the problem I created. He could have given up on me, but he didn't. Great customer service!
I use this system 24/7 and am very pleased. It works as advertised.
