Love the system; good buy for the price

I purchase this on 11/3/2015; waited to review until I got everything working [remote viewing, e-mail notification, cell phone viewing app]. System included everything to complete installation. Hardest part was running wires in the attic but I am glad it is not wireless [Comcast wireless security systems are being hacked]. Had issues setting up remote because I was not using “Internet Explorer”; “Chrome” and “Microsoft Edge” will not work [This should be noted in set-up instructions] Had problems with email notification but Defender Customer Service was a big help in getting email to work. Power supply for cameras failed in less than a week; Defender Customer Service trouble shot it with me and sent out a new power supply within 3 days no charge. The system is everything you want from remote viewing, e-mail notification, and easy set-up.

OVER ALL GOOD SYSTEM

I recently bought and installed this system myself. My first thought was the cameras were a little big but installed it anyway. The install was pretty much straight forward. If you can hook up your kids game system then the hook up should be no problem, its would be hard to get wrong. I have professional experience running and hiding wires so that was no issue for me, but see it could be a little difficult you do not have any experience doing this. After the install the set up was easy and my 10 year old did most of it. He was able to connect the system to Ipads and smart phones easily with the FREE available app. The only negative I can find other than the size of the cameras is I have noticed that the with out any ambient light the night vision does not work as good as I thought it would be. As for the size of the cameras after I got them installed and use to seeing them the size no longer bothers me and I actually see were them being more visible would deter somebody that is up to no good. For a home system I recommend it even though it might be over kill.

I recently purchased this a month ago after doing a lot of research on the internet for security systems. Defender Sentinel Pro seemed to be the best product for my home security needs. I would like the cameras to be of higher resolution, however, I don't think there are any cameras at a higher resolution within this price range. I will also say that the system and its directions are difficult to set up without customer service directing you. Luckily, Defenders customer service is excellent and on point. I have had to call or email several times and it has ben a pleasure to get help from them. Mitchel was exceptional at figuring out my setup issues and concerns. I highly recommend you contact them with any questions or concerns immediately. Thank you Defender, I am a pleased customer.

Customer Service excels

I recently purchased the 21159 system as an upgrade to my current system which is a 21173 that is still under warranty but is now a discontinued model. I have had two occasions to contact Customer Service and both times I was quite pleased with the outcomes. I was provided an extended warranty after the first contact and upgraded replacement cameras after my second contact as the cameras for the 21173 system were no longer available. As it turns out, the replacement cameras were identical to those in the 21159 system I had just purchased. Based on the reviews of the 21159 and comparable models I am excited for the weather to warm up a little so I can mount the new system cameras and DVR.

Received my system as a gift. Love it. Like the views and the Clear Vu app.Easy to install. Had a little trouble connecting to iphone. Contacted customer support. Michel gave outstanding assistance and skillfully guided us through the steps to success.
