Had little to no service when we moved and the only internet we could get was satellite. Read up on boosters and decided we would try it out. We have two stories and a basement and I can make a call or get on the web from any room in the house. Went with the model up from what square footage I needed since the initial signal was so low. We are pleased so far

had to hire an installer and still barely works

it give us some boost but not enough to carry on a conversation without cutting out over and over. Still had to get a land line.

Made a Big Difference in Our Remote Location

Installed at our cabin in Upper Michigan 10 miles from nearest cell tower. Prior to installation cell device was in reliable varying from No Service to 2-Bars 3G. After installing service varies from 2-Bars LTE to 5-Bars LTE.

Good, but it can't do any better than outdoors!

I bought this a month ago and installed it in my office last week. We used to get no signal inside and had to walk outside for a spotty, but usually adequate signal. Now we get the same spotty but usually adequate signal inside. I don't know why I expected better, your literature clearly said that is all we'd get....

Unfortunately, as you mentioned, the booster will work optimally in areas where there is steady signal. If the outside antenna is given signal and the signal is lost from the tower, the booster will only be able to use what it has and repeat the same inside. Expensive But Worth It

Initial cost is hard to swallow, but it made a huge difference in my home. Before the booster, the best signal I would see was about -120Db, with the booster its down to about -60Db. Use to no be able to hold or even make phone calls, now its crystal clear anywhere in the house. I was skeptical at first if it really worked, but as long as you can make phone calls outside, and set it up properly, it really does work, and it works well.
