Been using this TV for about 9 months now. Picture is great, that's the only good thing. Bought Samsung because their Smart technology was supposed to be superior. That may be true when it functions, but I can't say for certain because that part of the TV works so infrequently it's hard to say with any confidence. The Netflix app crashes the whole TV at least once a week, the Amazon app almost never works, not sure about the others that they force on you. And the "learning" functions do nothing, nine months in they haven't customized anything about my usage.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, unreliable, smart functions barely work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy Set-up

Two things that I liked better with my old Samsung.
It seemed to come on, change channels and process much faster then this model.
It had a audible sound that told me that the TV had been turned on or turned off.
But the set-up was really simple. On screen prompts and directions were simple enough that even an "older" technology challenged person such as myself had it set to the options that I wanted and needed in very short order.

I have enjoyed my new Samsung TV , my eyes are old I see distant items as sharp and clear but this TV I read close up and can play my old VHS and DVD movies through its HDMI port plus XBOX games without loss of image then too I can search the web, all is possible.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

After trying two other TVs from competitors with bad results I gave my first Samsung tv a try and I'm happy I did good black details and color best led TV I've ever owned and highly recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line picture quality this is the tv for you

Did a lot of research before purchase. Wanted to make sure I wasn't just settling for something since it was our first HD television. Wish we had more bandwidth so I could take advantage of all the features but I knew that might have been an issue. I'm glad there's so much information out there that made my decision a good one. This is an excellent television and can be personalized in so many ways. Very pleased.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight

excellent picture, but a learning curve on the interface

Love the picture. Some of the apps (netflix, HBO Go) didn't work correctly to begin with, but the Samsung service folks were very helpful and I think the TV's computer just needed to to download the latest updates. Only real gripe is that the mouse device, which operates by moving it in the air, is difficult for a grown up to learn. The more usual remote works great, though, so no worries. Definitely would buy it again.

Just updated to ver: 2123. Noticed when using smart mouse smart hub button, my saved favorite app get removed when reset is pressed and when returning to smart hub all default apps appear? Also when selecting through your sources, using smart mouse, the source would appear in my smart hub banner and I could save them as favorites for quick source control through smart hub. The source icon shows up but when selected you get no function? , and smart hub button become non-functioning. Totally will not work. This is a software issue, work around, Have to select source button to change source and then smart hub button works again. In prior ver the smart hub all saved apps and sources functioned as it should and when reset app history, saved apps and sources stayed in banner. I hope this could be corrected. Tech support. Besides this issue or feature control change I love this TV. Awesome picture, great color and very nice design. One of it negative I wish the interconnects panel and AC was lower in back panel and offered a serial port. Also wish screen mirroring worked with IOS. Own 3 Samsung TV's would definitely recommend.
