TOXIC SMELL

Control panel very hard to use.

Excessive pressure required to use anything on the control panel. Push and push and push buttons in to get it to function.

Flimsy

I guess they don't make things like they used to. The best word to describe this oven is FLIMSY. The metal used in the structure of this oven is thin and bendable. The oven door bends and warps easily, resulting in a poor seal that lets heat leak out and makes the metal very hot where the burner knobs are. The oven door seams have insulation poking out due to sloppy construction. The control panel requires very hard pressing of the buttons, and the entire upper panel bends and squeeks with every button press. The burner covers are disimilar metals so it looks odd. The burner knobs have cardboard behind them which i am told is supposed to be there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Features and Control

The features on this range are endless and definitely make life easier. The temperature control on the burners is excellent compared to other gas ranges we have used in the past. The only aspect that stops me from giving this range 5 stars is that the silver part of the burners tarnished/were discolors within a week or two of standard use. The discoloration was not the result of a spill.

My first convection range

Nothing cooks as well as gas IMHO, and now I’m enjoying the speedy, even baking results of convection for the first time. The GE Profile range has made it easy to experiment & adjust to this feature. Why not 5 stars? My only quibbles are that the trendy “in oven” broiler doesn’t perform as well as the traditional “ oven drawer” style I’ve used for the last 40 years...and a proper 2-piece broiler pan isn’t included. It must be purchased separately. I’m looking forward to convection roasting our 2019 Thanksgiving turkey in less time...and the 2-piece slide out rack will make a 20-lb bird much easier to manage

Great Stove

After a lot of research, I choose the GE Profile stove, as it had been reviewed by hundreds of purchasers and found no bad experiences. Of course it had all the features I wanted. The stove arrived in excellent shape and soon after installation it was baking bread in the oven and frying chicken on the burners. I haven't experienced anything which would change my opinion that this is a first rate stove and a great purchase.

Great stove!

I do a lot of bread baking, and my wife bakes the cookies and cakes. With the convection features this oven really performs. And the flat grill top allows for easy control of larger pots and pans. Installation was quick and everything worked perfectly from the get-go. I would recommend this item for any serious cook or baker.
