Great range at this price point

Did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on this range. This is my second Profile range and it is better than the first wit many upgrades. The burners offer an excellent range of BTUs, I especially like the high BTU burner as I often cook wit a wok. The range gets an A+ from this professor who loves to cook.

I've had this range for a couple months now, and I absolutely LOVE it!! I love the 5 burners, the continuous grate, the spacious oven. I haven't experimented much with the convection feature yet, but the oven heats up much more quickly than my previous one (it takes only 10 minutes instead of close to 30) and it bakes evenly in "regular" mode. The way the burners are designed as "islands" in the continuous range top makes cleanup very easy.

One month old and working as expected

Purchased this from the online GE store. Despite delivery and installation woes, the oven is working as expected. We had to burn the oven in for five hours to eliminate the smell of oils from engineering, but it cooks flawlessly. The knobs are big and easy to use. The cooking surfaces are big, and we really enjoy using the griddle. I would not recommend using the griddle for scrambled eggs, though. Lesson learned there. I find the buttons on the control panel flimsy and I am concerned they will not last with repeated use. Time will tell. But it does make for easier cleanup. The oven racks stick when pulling out, and the bottom rack (the "roll out" one) is useless. Or, at least I haven't figured out how best to use it. The oven looks great and performs well. We converted to propane without difficulty. Water boils faster and the oven heats up much faster than our older 25 year old GE stove. The only major issue (which isn't that major) is the power cord is too short. We had to purchase an extra heavy-duty extension cord. Other than that, I would recommend this oven.

Our second Profile

We got a Profile some years back for our previous home. This one is even nicer. Two nice things over the old one. The center burner on the old one just had the oval for the grill/griddle. The new one has a two-stage which means an extra medium burner for my oatmeal pot. The second is the front left that is now a three stage from low simmer to fires of the other place. Oh, and the roll-out shelf in the oven is nice.

Nice looking range with excellent features

The level grates across the surface for ease of moving pots, the center burner with the round or oval function, and the provided griddle are excellent features. Good info is found in the online user manual in operation of the oven for this novice!

So nice

After being without a stove this one makes our lives so much easier. Pancakes in the morning, flip over and grill chicken for lunch salads, fresh bread and lasagna for dinner. It is a work horse for our family of six. Happy happy.

I love the versatile oven. Regular bake or convection. I might need an adjustment for the temperature seems to heat 5 degrees higher than I set it. Haven't used the convection yet.Need to get a cook book for that.
