burner diameter too wide for pots

I cook a lot, and have been using the stove for about 3 months. The diameter of both front burners is 4 1/2 inches, so except at the lowest settings, the flames extend beyond most of the pots I usually use on the front burner: a 9" skillet and 2-3 quart saucepans. Even at low heat the handles of the pots heat up. I end up using the middle and back burners for all except the wok and soup kettle. It is poor design. They should have put one regular burner in front and the that left dual burner in back for stockpots. I wish I could figure out a way to exchange this stove!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've owned GE products in the past, however the fit and finish is equal to what one will find in a chefs kitchen, no question!

Like a professional grade range

I'm thrilled with my purchase. This range has features of a professional grade appliance but at a much more reasonable price point. The high BTU burners and the extra low simmer are wonderful features and the oven cooks evenly and the temp is reliable. (Something I've lived without for a while!)

Love having five (5) burners and a really large oven space. Am glad to be cooking with gas again after three years with smooth ceramic top unit. Gas is so much quicker and easier!
