High quality range that works well.

Two months of use and this high quality range works as expected. Connectivity with the matching above range microwave turns on the light whenever you turn on a burner. Burners are powerful and adjust well through the full range all the way down.

Read a lot of reviews before purchasing. The best range I have ever owned. The burners all have outstanding control of the flame. You can simmer anything with great results. Oven works great. Hands down worth the money.

Beautiful and Efficient Gas Range

I love my new range. The instant heat from the gas range, the 3 ring burner that has a low simmer to a high fast boil is great. I also love the 5th and grill burner is brilliant. I can also slide heavy pots from one burner to the next without having to pick it up.

Major safety conerns

Seems to work well. One negative- the burner knobs are on front and are VERY easy to bump into accidentally, turning on the gas without a flame. This has happened at least 3 times so far and we finally figure it out, minutes later when we smell the propane. The one time it happened, we had left the kitchen, so propane was leaked into the room for quite awhile before we came back into the kitchen and happened to smell it. This seems like a safety flaw in that it seems to happen multiple times in the 3 months we've had this unit. Another time, my pot of water boiled over, distinguishing the flame, which was not easily apparent due to the pot's large size, and once again propane was just leaking into the house. I would not purchase this unit again, based on these safety concerns. We had a different model GE gas range before this unit, and the knobs were similarly located, but they were differently enough that they never were turned on accidentally. Aside from the safety concerns, it seems to cook well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Knobs on front are easily turned on if you accidentally bump them. 3 times we've hit knobs accidentally and propane is released, but without stove igniting. We only know this has happened after burner has been on long enough to notice propane smell. One time it was on for 15 minutes before we noticed smell in another room. This has hapoened e times in the 3 months we've had stove. Never happened with out previous model that we replaced with this unit, even though burner knobs were in similar location.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this stove/oven!

I love GE appliances and this one did not disappoint me. I haven't cooked on gas for years however the stove/oven made it so easy. I love features and its easy to keep clean.

Excellent Range

Have used the range for a couple weeks in a new home build. Really like the variety of burners on the range top to match pot/pan size and required heat. Everything from very low simmer to extra high for quick boil. Converted the range/oven for LP and very happy with the performance of the oven in both convection and basic settings.
