Great stove

We selected this model sight unseen as part of our new home package. Went strictly on GE reputation. It's beautiful, easy to use, the center burner is great. The temperature probe feature is a life saver. No more opening the oven to probe the food! It's excellent.

Looks and cooks good

Bought GE Profile Series 30 Convection Range about 5 months ago. Convection setting works great for cookies and uncovered meat, potatoes, and fish. Really love the tri-ring burner! Heats very quickly and simmers equally nice avoiding sticking or burning when you are really busy. Works well with natural gas but sometimes smell gas on startup. Stovetop and grates clean easily with a quick wipe after each use. Will enjoy baking and broiling more in the winter.

There are hot spots. Food cooks unevenly. Need to watch food. The oven light doesn't work. Never has since installed. I need to call for repair already. The trays for the range do not fit easily back on after you remove to clean. One has to figure the exact fit. The little knobs that keep the trays from scratching the range pop off and easy to loose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using it for about 6 months. I do love the difference size burners and was really excited to have the grill/griddle in the center. But there is only one burner in the middle of it, so things don't cook evenly. I wish there were 2 burners to cover more area. A GE repairman who was here to service my refrigerator said the old models used to have 2 burners, so I'm not sure why they changed.

We just had the range installed two days ago. I love it.
I have not figured out how to use the timer yet though. I wish a manual was included with the purchase. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a gas range.
