Invisible glass of the MC Protector

When I opened the package, it appeared at first glance that Zeiss forgot to insert the glass; but it was so thoroughly transparent that I had to touch this filter to prove that the glass was, indeed, there. At that point, I knew it would be a huge benefit, for I had been protecting my lens with a non-Zeiss Skylight filter. After I replaced the old with this new Zeiss VF-49MPAM protector, I took a few pictures with my Sony DSC-RX1. The images were comparable to the same subjects taken through the lens alone. With the protector attached, the color came out an exact match to the live subjects and the images were distortion free. The Carl Zeiss T* prime lens on the RX1 is completely compatible with this Carl Zeiss T*. For any high resolution camera or Carl Zeiss lens, I recommend this accessory.
What's great about it: Distortionless, Achromatic, *T
What's not so great: None whatsoever

A Great Lens Protector

This lens protector is not cheap but is beautiful and worth the money. I bought three of them for my NEX7 lenses. They fit beautifully and I feel better now that all three of my lenses are protected especially since I will be going on a couple of trips outside of the USA.
