Ok but poorly implemented features

The microwave has a kitchen timer to time other things in the kitchen, except you can't use this kitchen timer at the same time as you use the microwave for cooking. Our last microwave allowed you to use both. When the microwave finishes timed cooking, you get five beeps in succession and then nothing else. It would be nice to have reminder beeps (say at one-minute intervals) to remind you to get the food out of the microwave. The kitchen timer works similarly. If you are using the kitchen timer to time something else that you need to take off the stove, and you miss the five beeps (which we have done several times), you risk burning something. As such, the kitchen timer is mostly useless. Also, the method for setting the kitchen timer and the microwave cooking timer are different (digits enter from the left vs the right) - this difference in usability for two identical functions is just bad design.
The microwave is a bit underpowered compared to our last (cheap) microwave - things take a bit longer to heat up in the new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It heats evenly and is fairly quiet.

Replacement

Bought as a replacement for an LG model that died after 6 years. This model is just a bit taller, so that things that were kept on top of it before now have had to find new homes. Power is the same and it works much our old one. No complaints so far. Has been one week and all seems to function normally.
