Clean in the end!

We were struggling to make the decision to replace our old dish washer after hearing multiple horror stories of how appliances aren't what they used to be. We replaced our old dishwasher with this Whirlpool and our dishes are clean again! It is louder than my friend's who spent 3 times as much but in the end my dishes are just as clean! I installed it myself! I do wish the bottom rack had a better design that didn't allow dishes to nest. I have to get creative on how I load the bottom rack and I feel like it fills up fast (less room than my last dish washer). It has two spinning, cleaning arms which get my dishes clean every time. I haven't had to rewash anything!

A very basic dishwasher. And even though it doesn't have the bells and whistles like the other more expensive brands, it is quite good. It gets my dishware clean.

Great value, excellent performance

This is my 4th (!) DW in a decade at my condo. While this Whirlpool was no more expensive than the two I purchased and the one that came with the condo, it performs 10X as well, and is significantly less noisy than any. The interior is well-designed to accomodate large pots on the bottom rack, and the two washing arms ensure that top-rack dishes get clean when the bottom rack is full. Highly recommended.

Dishwasher is quiet and does the job

This dishwasher runs quietly and does a great job. I haven't found left over dirt in the forks or on plates when the dish load is finished. No dried milk rings either. (Note: I do rinse the dishes slightly before putting them in the dishwasher.) We're now using the dishwasher pods (power packs) and that seems to do a better job than the loose powder detergents. The lower rack must be pulled out all the way when loading dishes or it slides back into place, but we adjusted quickly to that. We have the black model and it looks great with our dark oak kitchen cabinets. The normal cycle takes more than an hour, but I plan to try the light cycle and see how that works.

This product doesn't perform its primary function

It looks fine, sounds fine, etc. until you open up the dishwasher after a supposed "cleaning" and the dishes are only 50% cleaner than they were when I loaded the dishwasher. If you don't mind the food residue being baked into the plates and silverware in the drying phase then go ahead and buy this product. If you want a product that washes the dishes in the first place so there is no longer food residue left during the drying phase then this product is not for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
