Only works with ***ideal conditions***

If you have an open design forget it. Works for my uses (electric bill was vastly lower = only need 1 hour, 82F, every 3-5 hrs = raises temp 10+ degrees with outside temps under 45F) _____ timers must be manually set and don't automatically repeat. takes about 10 minutes to heat up. (Time until turning on/off) _____ Not the standard type of "radiator" function. It can't be used in a room as pictured with child (open design with high ceilings) (1) must be used in a "lower ceiling" 10 ft MAX. (2) with a semi-closed off area, preferred with a closed door (3) set on MAX. no more than 200sqft _____ the heat doesn't radiat "outward" but is directed upwards. SAFE for children. heat isn't felt past a 2ft radius.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Silent, but has some cons

The biggest pro for this heater is that it is 100% silent. When I first turned it on I kept checking it to make sure it was actually working because it makes no noise at all. Once it gets going and heats up the room, it keeps everything warm. The other things I like are the easy set up, the auto on/off timer, anti-freeze setting, simple controls, and wheels. Set up only involves unfolding the wheels. The wheels are nice so you can move the unit around and it gives it stability, making it unlikely to tip. The controls are simple and intuitive with the low/med/high and temperature buttons being the ones I used most. It can also be set up to turn on and/or off at certain times. That is nice to get the room warm about an hour before waking up. Something I have never seen before is the anti-freeze setting. If the room temperature goes below 41 degrees then the unit automatically turns on to heat the room to keep it from freezing. As for the cons, the cord comes out of the front of the unit so I have to loop it back behind, so part of the cord length gets wasted. As I said before this does heat a room really well once it gets going, but it is slow to start so some patience is needed or know to turn it on before you get too cold. The biggest con is the directions state there should be 3 feet of free space all the way around the unit and after using it I have to agree. Once heated up the unit is very hot and should not be touched except on the front control panel. I feel like I need a baby gate around it to be safe so no one accidentally bumps into it, especially kids or pets, and to make sure no objects get too close to it. I do have this on carpet and that is okay. I don’t feel comfortable using this around kids, pets, or too many people. I think this would be fine for childless adults in an uncluttered room. I love that it is silent, but the cons are a deal-breaker for me.

Silent and holds set temperature. I would have given 5 stars except for one feature. If the power is interrupted, you must turn the unit back on. Not good if unattended and there is a temporary loss of power.

Cute, but not the warmest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest little retro heater I've ever seen. It has an old fashioned chic feel that I love. However, although the heater itself gets hot, it doesnt heat up a room as well as I would like. Its definitely in addition to, not adequate to heat on it's own. Be careful because it is hot to touch. Serves it's purpose.

Keeps me warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this heater. I use this in my master bedroom on cool mornings. It works great and keeps my room warm. I love that you can set the thermostat to keep a certain temperature. It also has a automatic turn off switch if it gets too hot. It does have a smell at first but it got a little better after a couple uses. It's not as quiet as I would like but gets the job done.

Programmable Display is Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This portable room heater works great. It is fairly lightweight compared to some of the other heaters with similar characteristics. I particularly like the new digital control display on the heats. I can set temp ranges and fully control the heater unlike the standard off/on knob I have on some of the other heaters in the house and garage.
