Educational & Fun Racing Game for STEM skills

We received this game in exchange for a review but all opinions are my own.
This game is geared for ages 3-5 but my 7 year old son has had so much fun playing it as has his 4 year old sister. Both of them are able to play the game without assistance. Both kids love the racing portion of the game and I love that the race goes at a kid-friendly pace so even my 4 year old can participate without frustration. My son enjoyed building the Super Duper Stunt Track so his monster truck could do cool stunts. I love that this game focuses on STEM skills- science, technology, engineering, and math. My son excels in those areas and it's nice for him to have a game that promotes those skills.
Pros: Fun for kids, Educational

Children will learn while they play!

Recently LeapFrog sent me a box of items for my grandsons to try and for me to review - I've already posted several reviews and today I'm going to share another with you . . . this time for the new LeapTV game, Blaze and the Monster Machines.
Blaze and the Monster Machines Made by - LeapFrog Ages - 3-5
Favorite Features - Engages children and helps them learn STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - skills, even at these young ages! Games get children moving Options for two player fun - they can race through several settings - my grandsons loved this! LeapFrog says; "LeapTV Blaze and the Monster Machines puts science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills in motion for children ages 3-5 years. Children use number recognition, physical science, problem solving and simple machines knowledge to help Blaze and his friends build a super- duper stunt track and leave the competition in the dust."
My grandsons love Blaze and the Monster Machines! Caleb (four years old) says it is a really fun game children will want to play. He is sure boys especially will love playing a game where they can race trucks! I liked how it gives children the opportunity to learn some beginning skills in science, tech, engineering and math all while racing trucks and having fun! They will learn while they play.
My son and daughter-in-law and my husband and I have been able to see how our grandsons have learned math, science and reading skills from playing with their LeapPads. Blaze and the Monster Machines is a fun game our grandchildren are sure to enjoy and learn from at the same time! What's not to love about games children can play and learn from at the same time!
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

Teaches Great Science Vocabulary!

I was really impressed with the science vocabulary taught in this game. While racing around the track the kids were asked to switch tracks to accelerate or decelerate. My five year old is now using these words!
If your kids like racing, speed and trucks, this is the game for them.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Educational

The most "video game" feel of all the LeapTV games

We have mostly played the Transform Blaze and Lane Racing. I think in this particular game, my kids are learning about science and physics without even realizing it. There is less overt education and more exploration and experimentation. They love playing this one together and racing against each other.
Pros: Fun for kids

Stunt Racing and STEM, a Great Combo!

Young kids love driving games. There is something bout the thrill of doing something grown-up that has that appeal.
My five year-old twins thoroughly enjoy this game, and I secretly enjoy it because the girls are learning important STEM skills without even realizing it!
I also enjoy that there is a two player mode on the game, so that the girls can play together.
It is fun to see them experiment with cause and effect when constructing their Super Duper Stunt track, and they are motivated to keep playing so that they earn more track pieces.
This is a fun game, far beyond the recommended ages of 3-5. I predict a lot of re-play at our house!
Disclosure: We were given a copy of this game to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are my own.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Educational

Teaching young engineers!

I have 2 boys that are just over the game age range 3-5 years, and they still loved it. The boys think that the trucks are great and enjoy the adventures of Blaze. As an engineering grad, I absolutely loved the STEM concepts taught to my kids - both the boys and the girls - with this game. We have 2 controllers, so they are able to play side-by-side. Engineering at a young age, what's not to love?

Racing for Little Kids!

This is a great racing game that is super easy for little kids. We have a Wii U and my older kids play MarioKart and the little kids are sad they can't play as well. Once we got this game, they felt like they could do it and do it well! This game is for slightly younger kids, so we were hoping this would work well for my 3 year old. She still struggles to learn her letters and numbers, but I think these games are something that she will grow into and will reinforce concepts she learns at preschool which she starts in a few weeks. This game was really easy and she played it fairly well. You race the car on a track, avoiding obstacles and trying to collect 'golden tires'. There are various questions that you have to answer that have to do with physics. The words they use are a little advanced but once they play it several times, they get use to it. Hopefully this will actually help them build vocabulary for when they learn physical science concepts in school. Overall a very fun game!

Great for STEM Concepts

My son liked how you try to find the pieces of a stunt track and learning about force, and other STEM principals. He especially liked the racing component which reminded him of MarioKart. The most difficulty we had was that the space we had set up was difficult for the interactive components. I highly recommend making sure you have enough space and light to be able to fully enjoy the game!
