Fun and learning - what could be better for young

As I have been saying for the past few days, I recently received a box of "goodies" from LeapFrog for me to check out with my grandsons in exchange for me writing my reviews of these items. Some of the items in the box were new games for the LeapTV. My grandsons spent time yesterday trying these games out, so I could share with you some information about these games.
I'm going to share with you the new LeapFrog LeapTV Frozen game today!
LeapTV Frozen Made by - LeapFrog Ages - 4-7
Favorite Features - Children will love playing with Anna, Elsa and Olaf Five games for children to play by themselves or with a friend/sibling/parent/grandparent Games are fun, but also teach math skills. Children will love the opportunity to be Queen Elsa and wave their hand to build ice sculptures. The snowball toss with Olaf will get children moving and laughing! LeapFrog says; "LeapTV: Disney Frozen: Arendelle's Winter Festival puts mathematics skills in motion for children ages 4-7 years. Playing solo or with a friend, the curriculum grows with each child at her level. (Multiplayer feature requires two controllers.) Children sculpt ice, create jewelry from snowflakes and join Queen Elsa, Anna and Olaf for a magical festival using counting, addition, subtraction, place value, shape recognition and number sequencing. Each of the five games brings a child closer to filling her special Keepsake Room with Memory Portraits collected along the way."
Any fan of the movie Frozen is sure to enjoy playing LeapFrog's LeapTV version with LeapTV Frozen - Arendell's Winter Festival! While my grandsons do not appreciate LeapTV Frozen as much as a granddaughter might, this is absolutely a game where children will have fun; whether they are creating ice sculptures, racing down a mountain or throwing snowballs. And, most importantly, they will be learning math skills which will help them when they go to school. I know my grandsons have learned math skills from LeapFrog games/apps and LeapTV Frozen will be no different! Fun and learning - what could be better for young children!

Frozen fans will enjoy, but calibration seems off

This game is definitely for the older age range specified, about 5-7. Frozen lovers will enjoy the scenes between Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. It seemed to me that the calibration of this game was off. The joystick was very touchy, as was the wand and body waving games, so it took quite a bit of help from mommy for my daughter to play this game. She loved watching her favorite characters and attempting the games, but overall it was a little challenging. She is 3, so this game is not designed for her, but even with my help, it took us quite a while to make selections, etc.
Pros: Grows with child, Educational

We received this game in exchange for a review but all opinions are my own.
My daughter is 4 and she's a huge Frozen fan so she was super pumped to find this Frozen game included in our package. The game is geared towards ages 4-7 and I think it's best for the upper end of that range. At age 4 my daughter needed quite a bit of assistance and a couple of the activities were frustrating for her. She did enjoy the Ice Sculpting and the Frozen Festival Jewelry. My son is 7 and he is a fan of Olaf. He had a much easier time navigating this game. He liked the Snowball Throw and the Mountain Slide. I like that the game focused on math skills and got the kids up and moving.
Pros: Fun for kids, Educational

First, like most kids, my 2nd-grader loves Frozen. Second, he liked that the educational portion of this game is easy enough to keep it really fun. Third, he LOVED every moment that included Olaf.
It really is a cute game and the interactive moments are definitely entertaining. (We have never had a problem with the camera, but we do make sure the room is bright enough...windows and lights on.) I think the age range is spot on for this title. My 7-year old popped it in and easily had it mastered in no time. He's gone back and played it many times since. Winner!

Frozen Fun for LeapTV

When this arrived in the mail there were squeals of delight from my 5 year old twins!
This game is designed for 4-7 year-olds, but I suspect that it is better suited for 4-6 year-olds.
There are several mini-games available to choose from within this winter festival. One of my girls preferred the ice skating game that asks players to put numbers in the proper sequence, and then Anna or Elsa skates along the pattern. Both girls loved helping Anna and Elsa to leap and turn.
My other daughter loved the ice sculpting mini-game. She enjoyed seeing the geometric shapes morph into the sculptures.
All in all, this is a fun and educational game. I am enjoying seeing the girls "level up" and watching the game adjust for their individual strengths.
My older, gamer, sons like to point out that the game is not overly sophisticated. But I point out that this is a system built from the ground up for kids their sisters' age, and not an adult console made to work for younger kids.
I would prefer a faster processing speed, but I think that is my adult impatience shining through.
Disclosure: I was provided a copy of this game in order to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100% my own and I was not required to give a positive review.

I have 2 daughters that LOVE frozen, so this game was of course a hit. They get a chance to play in the world of Arendelle with their favorite characters. The learning portion of the game adjusts to the ability of each of them easily through their different Leap TV profiles - so they are able to enjoy the game together.

I was a little worried when getting this game that it would be too hard for my 3 year old who loves Frozen. But it wasn't too bad--she is not very familiar with her letters and numbers but she can tell that a letter is a letter and a number is a number. I played this with her and she loved the different games, and that you just answer a few questions and then get to play. We especially loved the sledding with Olaf and jewelry making. It's also nice that some of the games are body interactive, to get your child moving but it's also easier for the little ones to do than using the controller but sometimes they motion is a little too sensitive and causes them to get an answer wrong unnessarily. This game also seemed slightly similar to Disney Princesses. But it is really fun and perfect for all Frozen lovers!
