Fun Way to Work on Letters

While I recently received the LeapFrog Letter Factory Imagicard Learning Game (digital game only) at no cost for review purposes, all opinions are my own.
This game a great way for my 4yo daughter who is letter happy to really engage with the alphabet in a new way. While we had a bit of a tricky time figuring out the Imagicards at first, a quick viewing of the demo included on the LeapPad Platinum had us up and playing in no time. She really enjoys sorting through the cards to find the right letter, and I love that there are color cues (e.g. "find the e in your blue cards") to help kids who may not know all their letters yet. The games are definitely edutainment and make learning fun—they're part of the game, they don't get in the way of the game.
The characters are likeable, the mini-games are fun to play, and the overall game is easy for little ones to explore and interact with.
We didn't have the Imagicards while reviewing this game, but we did for another game. I originally thought they seemed redundant, but appreciate that they allow for offline play and encourage kids to turn away from the screen. I also love the metal tin...most card boxes in our house end up trashed in no time. This makes them a bit less of a clutter/loss hazard.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coolest Thing Since The Letter Factory DVD!

I've been a huge fan of The Letter Factory since it first came out! I'm a mother and kindergarten teacher and couldn't live with this DVD. Years ago, I purchased the board game and fell in love with it. It has since been discontinued, but I am thrilled to find out about Letter Factory Imagicards! I was given a LeapPad Platinum tablet to review and it was loaded with the game and a sample of the cards. I fell in love as soon as I tried it! Although I was given a tablet and Imagicard game to try, the opinions here are mine. I cannot wait for school to start so I can start using this with my kindergarten students!
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

This LeapFrog product brings characters and information to life by scanning a card. This is an introduction to the picture-scanning concept at a young age, plus the tactile experience that takes you away from an actual screen.
I love the phonic and word recognition curriculum that comes with the Letter Factory Carnival cards. It is amazing to see my 5 year old learning to read before he even starts kindergarten.
The ability to “hide” educational information in a card takes the LeapFrog concept and expands it even further. Imagicard takes educational information and presents it to the kids in a way that is fun and interactive. Every parent loves some down time that screens and electronics provide, but we also worry about how much is too much and trying to limit the time spent plugged in when the weather is great! I love that LeapFrog keeps working to create things for kids to do that are tactile in conjunction with the electronics.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

A learning adventure

Disclosure: I received a copy of this game to facilitate my review, however, all opinions are my own.. This game was made for my four year old. He loves it! There is enough variety in the game with collecting letters, writing letters, playing mini games, and taking photos that she never gets tired of playing it. It is a great way to learn the letters and sounds of the alphabet. My kid loves trains, so she really loved the train in the game and getting to explore the Letter Factory.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Educational
