Heavy and easily chipped.

This bowl beautifully matched by mixer but it was easily chipped by a glass bottle hitting it. I had expected it to stand up to everyday use but it was heavy, hard to clean and didn't last. Disappointing from a brand like Kitchen Aid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but easily broken

I absolutely loved the look of this frosted glass bowl. However, I found it didn't make the distance and cracked after 2 years of having it.

Absolutely loved this, however I cracked the bowl when the edge hit the mixer as i was putting it away in the cupboard. Will purchase a steel one to replace it.

Love the look of this bowl. I noticed it was cracked after only having it for about a year. A piece has now broken off around the base and the bowl cant be secured onto the mixer.

Bottom cracks when screwed into base

This bowl came with my mixer. Lovely looking bowl however when you screw it into the base, you can't do so very tightly as it cracks the bottom glass where the thread meets the stand.
Kitchenaid were great and sent me a new one but doesn't stop the problem.

Locking problem

This bowl came with my mixer but I can't lock it into the base because the pouring lip connects with the stand. I have to hold the handle while it is mixing to stop the bowl moving slightly and repeated bumping of the pouring lip against the upright stand has chipped the finish on the mixer.
