Won't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this food processor as a gift 3 weeks ago. I took it out of the box and set it on my countertop and threw the box away. Last night when I went to use it for the first time it did not work. I have the bowl locked in place and the lid locked on as directions say but it has no power. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what the problem could be including going to several other outlets in the house and plugging it in. I've come to the conclusion that I have a lemon. I am unable to return it because I threw the box away never thinking it would not work right out of the box. The person who gifted it to me gave me the receipt but I do not think they will take it back without the box. Now I have an expensive appliance taking up space on my countertop that doesn't even work. VERY FRUSTRATED with this KitchenAid product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ended up returning this. The buttons on the front were , very hard to push. I also didn't like that alot of the shredded food piled up in the cover by the shoot. When you remove the work dish, alot of shredded food fell down in the center & there was no easy way to get it out. I liked the fact that you could reverse the shredding disk to fine or coarse and also that you could adjust the thickness of the slicing disk. Does not compare to my Robot Coupe that I had for over 30 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this food processor but my big complaint is that the push pads are extremely hard to push. I have to put a great deal of strength into pushing the pads to make the machine turn on/off and it's on all of the buttons. Had I known I would have selected a different brand. If it wasn't for this I would have rated it higher. There doesn't seem to be a "sweet spot" on the pads. It's simply difficult at best.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This processor is the best processor I have ever had. It compliments my other Kitchen Aid appliances. The exact slice feature makes for some very special fixings in our every day life. From my Kitchen Aid refrigerator to my new food processor, then on to my Kitchen Aid Convection oven or convection microwave, or my kitchen aid convection counter top oven, this processor has opened up a whole new way of working in my Kitchen Aid Kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this model to replace a 30 year old hamilton beach. It has nice features, like the adjustment for slice thickness, but the major flaw is that the multipurpose blade does not stay down in the locked position, and then starts to wobble like it is going to tear the machine apart. I need to keep taking the lid off and pressing down again into the locked position. It tends to stay locked it you leave it on low, but then it takes forever. If it wasn't for the blade riding up I would rate this as an excellent machine, but it is too big a flaw to overlook.

Me and my wife got this as a wedding present. We used it two times, once to cut up a bunch of veggies for a salad and once to cut up some potatoes. And then it broke! After we used it twice. Warranty just expired. Total piece of garbage. Don't buy this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new Kitchen aid appliance just adds to all the others that I have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this item 7 weeks ago & have been very pleased in the performance. It had been over 20 years since we last owned one. It makes preparation of salads like chicken salad easy & great in texture. I would buy this for someone or recommend it highly!
