The charger works great - once it's been charged up through your computer, bring it anywhere with you and it will charge your cell phone without a problem. Keep in mind: the charge is enough to charge up your cell phone, but not a larger device (say ipad). Also, you need to use the charger relatively soon after it's been fully charged. Otherwise it loses its charge and you'll have to recharge it a week later. Otherwise, pretty happy with it. It gives me some increased convenience, as long as I plan for it (i.e., going to be at a conference, i'll be sure to charge it right before i go into session in case i need it).

the AMP mini is a small, pocket size emergency charge and while it wont be able to fully charge your phone in might help you get home to place in on a standard charger
