I would rather not have the burner control buttons on the cooking surface. They take up too much space and tend to be heat sensitive. We've had problems with sliding a hot pan over the control surface then having the cooktop shut down. It then takes about 15 min. before the cooktop is functional again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The sync feature now allows me to cook multiple pancakes on a griddle. Cuts weekend breakfast time significantly

Great Stove Top! Easy Installation....

We purchased this unit as a replacement for a 15+ year old similar GE unit. All of our kitchen appliances are GE. We have always enjoyed them and had good / reliable experience. This unit is as good and even better than the older unit it replaced. New features and 1 more burner and quieter.... The only suggested improvement would be to have the surface top be the same color of the old unit, which was black with little specks of dark grey. That helped conceal the dust that will settle on the surface (when not being used) no matter how clean your house is. The new unit's surface is pure gloss black, looks cool, but tends to show the dust a bit more... but no big deal. just wipe it off when you notice it... Overall a GREAT stovetop and a good value... Highly Recommend!

Easy to use. Love the look, clean and modern, but to keep it looking its best you must be vigilant and wipe it down often otherwise small spills soon start looking a bit permanent. Burners heat quickly and efficiently. Family likes cooking pancakes on the griddle. The lockout feature keeps little grand children safe.

I've had this cook top for several months now. It was the only one that would fit our counter and wiring. It replaced a 30+ year old Thermidor. It looks nice, but it's functionality is less than good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few months ago and it functions well, buy you have to be very delicate with putting stuff on the glass. Also, do not leave any food on it as it will leave a mark and not come off
