Beautiful on or off

What a joy to cook on and keep clean. Excellent heat control, almost as good as gas. variable size burners are great. Only complaint is that for safety, the control lock "button", that you hold down for 4 seconds so that no burner can accidentally be turned on should be activated automatically after 10 minutes of all burners being turned off. It's too easy to even put down groceries for a minute on the surface and have a burner accidentally turned on. As a result I always manually activate the control lock "button" after I am thru using the burners.

We bought this cooktop to replace a 10 year old Profile cooktop.
This model because it was the only GE we could find that fit the cutout in our granite counter. It needs higher settings to cook than our old one and lacks some features. No pan sensor to shut off the burner if pan removed and no timer.

Just what I need!

I love having the great choice of burner sizes. I replaced a perfectly functional unit that had only one large (9") burner and am extremely happy that I did. There is no gas in my neighborhood and this is so good that I am no longer whining about no gas!

I was wary of moving from a gas stove in our last home back to electric. Now, I do not want to go back to gas!! This stove heats very quickly and evenly and offered much control over the heating elements. Love it!
