I grew up in hot, humid central IL. Then lived in Chicago for 36 yrs and now in New Mexico. I've lived in air conditioning my entire life; always had one. Could not live without it, but here we can't have central air, not enough amps for the house. Our older window a/c died early this summer and I went out and bought the LG. It is AMAZING! It's quiet, uses very little amps and works like a champ! Our house is 2200 sq ft and the LG COOLS all but 2 rooms that are closed off! It was also light weight enough that my husband and I could install it by ourselves despite the fact I'm 70 and he's 72!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, Performance, inexpensive to run

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one year and two weeks ago and it failed after hardly any real time use. The fan motor is no longer working at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased two air conditioners and they work great. Cools the rooms with no effort. Very energy efficient and quiet. They were also easy to install. Affordable price. Remote is a plus.
