[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On a hot day it will repeatedly shut down with a ch34 error which means high pressure in the condenser. Getting it going again requires unplugging and re-plugging to reset. The unit is shaded from direct sun and even though it's a new unit I have cleaned the coils. When it's working it works and cools fine, cycling on and off as you would expect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] AC SHUTS OFF WHEN TEMP OVER 105-110 OUTSIDE. THE CITY I LIVE IN SUMMER TEMPS REACH 119-120. NOT GOOD!

when you check the box for a cut sheet the 1-ton unit is the only one provided. I need a cut sheet for the 2-ton unit.

A/C works very good

I would have given it 5 stars, but the inside cover over the controls has very weak clips where cover snaps on. I broke one of the clips on the installations and had to use some tape to hold the cover in place.
Other than that, it works great.
Other than that, it works great.
Pros: Performance

difficult to install

The window AC unit works well. It is difficult to install, however. I have replacement windows, but the unit appears to be made for standard, wooden windows. I had to make some adjustments and provide my own support system for the weight of the unit. It took two of us.
Also, the "accordion" extension to close the window gaps is a poor system. Someone needs to think of something better. I had to do additional work to help seal the window around the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product less then a year ago and its already having problems by making loud noises when its running.I am very upset with what is going on with this unit and would really like to request that this unit be replaced with 1 that works properly or get a full refund from this company.

I believe the ac motor is bad and everywhere I have tried to find the part I have been told that it is no longer being manufactured. I am only on social security and cannot afford to purchase a new unit and have no money for a repair person.
