I've had this stockpot for several years and was very happy using it, primarily to boil pasta. I really like the strainer lid and it works well. However, I recently dropped the lid on my laminate floor and the top black knob broke in several pieces. Customer service explained that they do not sell a replacement knob or a replacement lid. They explained that this damage was not covered under the limited warranty because dropping the lid invalidated any coverage. I was very surprised because, while I rarely drop a lid, this does not seem to be an unusual occurrence in the typical home kitchen. I have a variety of cookware pieces that I have used for many years and the knobs are all intact. I ended up gluing all the pieces together so thankfully the pot is still functional. Bottom line: if you buy this pot, treat the lid with kid gloves. If you happen to break the knob on the lid and can't repair it yourself, the whole thing could end up in the trash...what a shame.

This is an extra pot that I purchased because I love them.Im 82 and I have other pots that are too heavy when I make sauce or boil potatoes.Farberware pots are light weight and stainless steel and easy to clean.I have them for over twenty years and I love them

I had purchased a similar pan (smaller) for my rv, and they are so convenient for pasta or anything needing draining. This one is nice and roomy. I got my first set of Farberware as a gift over 40 years ago, and they are still great!
